Right ladies, I am having problems with hair straightners..?

Since just before Christmas I have gotton through 3!! Admittedly the first two were cheap (about 拢15.00) and were by Babyliss. But the pair I have at the moment were 拢50.00 by Remington. All the straightners just seem to switch themselves off after a month. What is going on !!?? I don't want to keep buying and replacing them every month, surely they must last longer??Right ladies, I am having problems with hair straightners..?
They should last longer...is it the way you care for them? Ask a stylist to advise you...or go to a Sally Hensen Beauty Supply Store. This time fill out that manufactorer's gaurentee thing and send it to them or do what ever the instructions say to so if it breaks in an untimely manner they may replace it.Right ladies, I am having problems with hair straightners..?
If i were you, I would save up all of my money, and buy one for an expensive amount of money. I've had one for about a year, and It was about 200 american dollars, but it works great and it probably won't break for a long time.

Well you shouldn't wrap the cord around it and don't leave it on other than that it is pretty much going to last try getting something like conair or revlon, and sally beauty always has good ones you don't need to spand a fortune just about20 - 50 dollars for a good reliable one.

I have never known straighteners to break this quickly i have had remington, clairol and GHD (these i would recommend) and all of these still work, its the plates that wear out. They should still be under guarantee after only 1 month. Are you leaving them switched on for long periods of time (i mean do you forget to turn them off). If this is not the case are you sure there isn't a problem with your home power and power surges are not just blowing the fuse in the plug.
for a good straightener you need to buy a good one, they are more expensive but they will last longer and most come with a warranty, and they work way better and cause less damage to your hair. try a hai, or chi. i have a hai and i have had it for 3 years, and it still works perfectly. hope this helps.
i have a chi...it was around $100 i think...but it's definitely worth it because it's lasted for a long time!
BUY a GHD!!! Expensive but well worth it! I have had my for 2 years and its still going strong. Ask at your local hair dresser about them.
