Infinti hair straightners. (conair)?

I have really thick long wavy hair my hair looks so good when my stylist straightens it. Do does the infinti by conair work and which one the hair dryer one or the straigtner one? and how long would it take and is it hard to use? is it worth the money it costs? your opinions would be greatly appriciated thank youInfinti hair straightners. (conair)?
Chi's do not last long. They break way too easily. Don't waste your money, and don't listen to the one's that are telling you it's the best. Sedu is one of the best straighteners out there and it is only $100.

To purcase a Sedu at the cheapest price, go to Folica.com , scroll to the very top and click on Hair Styling. On the left hand side, there will be and A - Z brand list. Find Sedu, click on it, and everything else from there is self - explanitory.

For more information on a Sedu, you can go to sedubeauty.com.

I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.

It reaches 410 degrees, with tempature control. CHI doesn't have tempature control.

Celebrites have nice hair, and they don't use CHI, they use Sedu. Go to beautyriot.com and look at many Sedu Hairstyles. they are under the catagaory, Sedu Hairstyles. All hairstyle websites have something caled Sedu Hairstyles.

Good luck!

Hair help!!! please.. best shamoops conditiners and hair straightners?

well i have really curly hair and i wash it oce or twice dairly and its getting really damaged and when i straighten it i get soo many split ends soo any trick advice for hair care and also i want to know what conditiners and shampoos are best and also hair straightners. right now myhair straightner is called '; Her styler';..please and thank youHair help!!! please.. best shamoops conditiners and hair straightners?
Depends the type of hair you have.

My type is wavy, sort of frizzy so I like to use TREsemme` and my straightner is Conair. It heats up fast and leaves my hair smooth, straight, and shinny with no other hair products added. Just add a little drop of baby oil JUST to ends so they become smooth.

- I hope this helps.Hair help!!! please.. best shamoops conditiners and hair straightners?
If it was me i would have the end of my hair trimmed for your conditioner i would suggest John Frieda or loreal and then the Best hair straighteners are GHD's they are brill. Hope this helps x.
only wash your hair every other day.use Pantene sleek shampoo and conditioner.i dont know about you but i have a habit of straighening my hair when im bored.only straighten it when it is dry and when you are going somewhere.also try Pantene Pro-V Restoratives, that works well on my hair, use conair straighteners,CHI straighters burn your hair and leaves it with a bad smell
get a CHI straightener, and buy the iron guard for it.

shampoo%26amp;conditioner, you could buy CHI i bet its really good, but i don't know
you shouldnt wash your hair twice a day, u are ruining it

! wash you hair everyonther day and it will reduce split ends trust me
ok, go in to a salon and ask them for a moisturising shampoo %26amp; conditioner / treatment, i know their more expensive then in the shops bt they lst you twice as ln and work twice as good!

(thats y ur hair always feels great when u come out of the hairdressers!)

and also ghd straightners r the best by far, their pricey but last ages, the ceramic plates reduce your hair from drying out as it protects the natural oils in the hair instead of 'frying' it!

also you should ALWAYS use a thermal protection spray before straightening it - every time! hpe this helps x
by the suave brand of al hair suplies because i just took a shower and whn i got out it was as straight as it could ever be and my hair is curly
dont wash your hair everyday no wonder its a wreck. use pantenine sleek and smooth shampoo and conditioner its the green bottle. it did wonders for my hair i think pantenine has a bottle for damaged hair but i cant remember what colour the bottle was. get straighterners with an iron bar of glass of something.

OK GHD has a reputation for it's mk 4 straightner being the best out there - but does this level of quality apply to the GHDmini?

  • If u dont use hair straightners everyday, will it fry ur hair???????

noIf u dont use hair straightners everyday, will it fry ur hair???????
No..if you USE straighteners everyday, It'll damage your hair.If u dont use hair straightners everyday, will it fry ur hair???????
If you use hot tools blow dryers hot rollers curling irons or straighteners they burn and damage your hair but make it look good sometimes
if u use straigtners everyday your hair will fry.
i use mine every day with some hair product and hair is a little fryed the day after if i dont use it again
no hun. if you use straighteners every day it will make your hair dry and damaged. instead of straighteners take a roller brush ( just trust me) and turn on the blow dryer. brush your hair while drying it. the thin bristles make it thinner for some reason. but make sure your hair is dry or almost. if your hair is wet while you do this and you stop when your done brushing while you hair is still wet and let it air dry you hair will be crinkly.
If you DO straighten your hair with a flat iron everyday, then yes it will fry.

To prevent that, just use leave in conditioner or heat protection spray/serum prior to straightening.
Whenever you straight your hair, try to use a heat activated cream or serum for your hair to protect it. It also cut the time in half when you straight your hair. Try Tresemme, I think they make one. Also try to deep condition your hair maybe every week or so

    Best of luck to you.
no, if you do it will
not if u take care of it with heat protection lso depends on ur ion. jus cuz it says ceeramic doesnt mean it is. cud jus b the paint on the plates.

    ^^^ hope you apreciate

    answer my Q please: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?/a>
make sure you use some sort of straightening product in your hair... it coats the hair and keeps it from frying... try biosilk it's amazing! i love it! i straighten my hair every day with either a chi iron or an aquage... they are 2 of the hottest irons on the market... just make sure not to leave it on the hair too long!
If you DO use starighteners all the time, yourt hair will become dry if you don't use products. That's why people opt for more expensive ones that aren't so harsh to your hair.

    拢50 hair straightners?

I have fine hair.....a slight wave but nothing much. I want a some hair straightners....but i only have 拢50. Can anyone recommend some good ones.. that dont damage your hair etc拢50 hair straightners?
Honestly, spend another tenner and get CORIOLOISS C2 on ebay for 拢60...they are amazing !!!

    * up to 210 degrees

    * digital temp control

    * long lead

    * black/silver/gold/leopard/skull

    * cleans hair as you straighten

    * nano-silver technology

    * amazing result, straightens even afro hair to silk in one go!

    Good Luck拢50 hair straightners?
all hair straighteners damage your hair, if you can save some more money and get some ghd straighteners they are the best
vidal sassoon or try treseme they r about 拢39
    Wilkinsons for 拢8.99

they have a temperature controller and everything!
all hair straighteners damage hair unfortunately but if u want really slick hair with less damage i would save up a bit more money and get ghds because they work really well or u could get some second hand ones off ebay they will be cheaper but defo go with ghds they with hat salon Finnish
Remmington straighteners are really good i actually find them much better than GHD's I paid 拢20 for my straighteners they were on offer at boots at the time. This was quite a while ago but they still sell Remington straightners for round about 拢30 you will be better with the thin ceramic plates, they are much easier to use.

Good luck hope you are happy with your purchase.
you can get tresemme, its really good for the price, its only about 拢35.
they all damage your hair but you can prevent spilt ends and dry hair by uisng a heat protection spray and i recommend treseme heat protect spray it costs about 拢2-拢3 and you can get it in superdrug or boots, i suggest that you go to your nearest sally's hair and body care shope, superdrug and boots and you can get a decent pair of hair straightners but remember because your hair is sightly straight that you use a low heat setting

    Sedu Straightners?

    Are they good?

    Does the straightness last?

Any other really good ones other than CHI?

How is Bedhead straightners? Sedu Hair Straightners?
I would not buy the CHI. I have a Sedu and have tried both and my sedu works better. It really depends on your hair, but I have botticelli curls that get frizzy and my friend has ethnic hair and it will leave our hair straight for 2 days max. you touch it up quickly, esp. because it takes like less than 30 seconds to heat up to 300 degrees. it has a range of 250-450 ish. Bedhead is cheap and will do terrible things to your hair. If you have the money I would go for a GHD, but CHi and Sedu are good alternatives if you are on a budget like me. Sedu Hair Straightners?
GVP is an imitation of the CHI and the same thing and cheaper get a GVP at sallybeautysupply.com =] i just got one today
theyre okay but im a guy how would I really know, i use some cheap 20 dollar no name one and its fine for me.

    Hair Straightners abroad?

Hiya, im going to corfu and i was wondering, can i take my hairstraightners in my hand luggage? As they are GHD and i really dont want to be loosing them anytime soon! I have also read that some GHD straightners wont work in foreign countries, is that so?Hair Straightners abroad?
I'm almost certain that you can bring hair straightener's in your hand luggage. I mean, why wouldn't you be allowed to?? Restricted items only include: weapons, explosives, sharp items, aerosol, liquids, gels... Mind you, hand luggage restrictions do vary slightly depending on the country... and I don't know where you're from...!!

As for whether it will work in foreign countries, I believe it will -- half the reason I chose to buy GHD over other straighteners -- but you will obviously need to have the right powerpoint plugs ... like, the adapter thingys (because powerpoints are differentin different countries).

But, yeh, you're GHD should work no matter where you are, and I believe you are allowed to bring them as hand-luggage.Hair Straightners abroad?
Hi, yes you can take them in your hand luggage - I have done so plenty of times.

They will work on corfu, you just need the european adapter plug. Europe has 10 volts less of electricity however, so I don't find they work as good as in England, but they still work.
u'll need a adaptor n yes it will then work overseas

if u want to put it in ur hand luggage n not da main one y dont u call the terminal n ask them im sure they'll help n answer ur questions as if u can put it in ur hand luggage or not.

    hop i helped
I wouldn't chance putting them in your hand luggage, as they may not let them on the plane if they are found in your hand luggage.

As for GHD's not working in foreign countries i'm not sure on that one

    Hope it helped
Hand luggage will be ok as they cant be classed as a weapon, as for the power issue ive been to greece with my gf and all the apliances we ever used have worked,
    yes.. you can
leave them at home! straightened hair looks rubbish and holidays are for enjoying
where ever your going they will take it because it's illegal!!

    HOt ComB or HaiR StrAightNeRs????

i have a perm and i want my hair also to be straightened to make it softer only once in a while though but which one it better for african hair??? thanks guys!!!HOt ComB or HaiR StrAightNeRs????
Hot n Gold works really well. I use to used the electric hot combs made by Hot 'N Gold on my relaxed hair and my hair came out perfect. As long as you use some sort of moisturizer on it while pressing it out. never press your hair dry.

But if you talking about the ones you place on the stove any kind will work if you use the ones that are large in size. Teeth are not to close together.HOt ComB or HaiR StrAightNeRs????
IN MY OPINION IT WOULD BE BETTER TO USE A HAIR STRAIGHTNER SINCE UR HAIR IS ALREADY RELAXED
straightener but before you do that deep condition your hair cause that dries out your and when your hair is dry it will break off and deep conditioning your hair makes it soft and gives better results
    hair strainger
I like flat irons 'cause the heat's on the inside. And if you decide to use one, I suggest one that ceramic. It's doesn't damage the hair.
I prefer hair straightners because i don't like being burned by the hot combs they burn your scalp sometimes by accident
I suggest Dr.Miracles perm and products you can actually feel it work on your hair then you should use a thick pomade on it to keep it soft after blow drying it
I think that hot combs are safer for african hair, but for the most part, it's your choice.

Striaghteners work better, but they can damage your hair and may be very pricey.

Hot combs work almost as well, but not quite, and they have a less chance of damaging your hair, and they're cheaper, so there's ups and downs to both,

    Good Luck!!!!
By perm, I'm assuming you mean a relaxer. To get my hair bone straight, I use a serum (Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum) a little moisturizer and a flat iron. If your hair is really kinky, you might want to also try a relaxing balm before straightening it: I used to do this with natural hair and people thought it was relaxed!

    Good luck.
I wish one of the sistuhs would go old school and go back to the Roberta Flack or Angela Davis 'fro

Tigi Bedhead? i think hair straightners?

Ok so i want a really good hair straighten you no the blue and pink ones they have there about 80 dollars are they really good and worth the money and i have really long hair and its fine so what size should i get?Tigi Bedhead? i think hair straightners?
They have good hair straighteners and hair curlers, so good choice! I think you should go with a thinner one, unless your hair is really unruly, in which case you should try the thicker one. Good luck!Tigi Bedhead? i think hair straightners?
yeha i think theyre worth it

if you have fine hair its better to get a thin one but its always safe to get the medium sized one

Which hair straightners are the best...?

GHD's are the best hairdressers use them.Which hair straightners are the best...?
Personally after going through many straightners have to say that the best one Ive ever had was a Remington Wet2Straight. It doesnt do any damage whatsoever and heats up quickly. Also you hair feels soft, and bouncy. So far Ive had it for 3 years and Im stil going. The chi is also a great option.

Just in case: Garnier has this amazing sleek and shine product, which really helps the hair after flat ironing it. Just put a little on your palms, rub together, and comb through your hair

Hope this has helped!Which hair straightners are the best...?
chi is the best.. but expensive.

babyliss is also a good one and a lot cheaper than chi

you will want to get a ceramic straightener... preferably with tourmaline. (ionic straightener) they help to seal the hair cuticle and make it look shiny.

make sure you also use a protective spray before straightening.

nexxus makes a good one.. i think it's called thermogenic.

also if you have a sally's beauty supply store near you, they make another good one... silk something.. i forget.. if you ask for a heat protector spray they'll know what you're talking about
CHI for sure is the best !
    CHI
i'm a hairstylist and a CHI is my favorite

Hair straightners burn my hair off..?

    My girlfriend was round earlier..

And i have the front bit of my hair stuck up with gel/wax/haispray one or the other..

And she wanted to see me with curly hair, so i was curling the front bit, i noticed the small after a while, and a peice of hair fell on the floor..

i have washed and conditioned my hair now, but the ends of my fringe/bangs [?] feels a bit frazzled..

Why do you think this happened after one use..Hair straightners burn my hair off..?
if you had any gel, etc,on at the time that would def contribute, ask her if you can do hers and accidentally stick hot straighteners on her neck, that will teach her !!Hair straightners burn my hair off..?
haha sorry to laugh but my sister did the same thing to me last year, my hair was bleached so i think that played a big part because is was so dry, have you dyd your hair?

when girls straighten there hair they usually use some kind of protecting syrum, and even if they dont use this they regularly use shampoo, conditioner, treatment etc. so there hair can handle the extream heat, when your girl friend used them on your hair, if your hair had product on it the product would have been absorbed by the hair pores, you would think that this would offer some kind of protection but in fact the product gets so hot the hair reaches melting point.

to be honest you carnt revers the effect but using a conditioner will help, when you buy it look out for ';deap nourishing conditioner'; this will have a better softening effect.

but look on the bright side: a girls hair is very long and if they burnt it it would take years to grow back, us guy can wait a couple of months and it gunna get choped of eventually, also i think you will find once your hair is slightly frazzled it sticks up better, mine did : )
probablly too hot and your hair was too thin for the heat. ALWAYS put a straightening product or a heat protective product on your hair. the burnt ends wont go away till you cut em. Have them ';point cut'; to blend and soften them since its your bangs. And ALWAYS use the LOWEST heat thats effective for you hair type! Also NEVER flat iorn wet hair, itll damage and frizz it
This happens often when people already have gel or mousee in their hair.

It happened to my friend when she had mousse in her hair.

So definetely don't straighten your hair when there's gel in it.

%26amp; try using your straightener in a lower heat.
you probably applied the heat for too long, that stuff happens. don't worry, it will grow back.
the curler/ straightener was much too hot! Or you kept it there too long!

    Hair straightners popped/exploded?!?!?

The other day i was using my sisters hair straightners, and my hair is natural straight, but i just used it for the fun lol :)

Anyway, i was using them and then all of a sudden i heard a loud 'POP' and then i saw like a big spark/fire... more of a spark, and i could see the smoke, like a little bit of smoke and it stank, so i uqickly switched it off and openedmy windows.

I was very fortunate it wasnt near my face!

although i felt the spark on my arm.. it was like a sparkler on bonfire night, and it sparks but sometimes u can feel it.. u know what i mean?

So i was jsut wondering if anyone knows why it happened?!?!

    im really worried...

    thanks

x and my hair wasnt wet, it was dry when i used them and the brand is ';s..one'; or something

    xxHair straightners popped/exploded?!?!?
That happened to me once. Unfortunately the spark landed on my stomach and burnt a little hole on my tshirt and it went through and gave me a burn cicle on my stomach. It hurt. What made this happen was that the wires some how came apart and it cause to give a spark. My dad fixed it but putting wire tape around the wires and it worked. Eventhough it was fixed I was still scared that it was going to spark on my face, so I threw it away and bought me another one.Hair straightners popped/exploded?!?!?
lol. . . the same thing happened to me. .

nd the wire that connects to the straightner has probably been pulled hard or been put out of place and thats why it ';exploted'; . . .its lose. . .

its not your fault (I think), the straightener has just been mistreated.

    Do i need hair straightners?

i heard hair straightners damage hair so i dont think im gonna use them..

    but do i need them?

this is my natural hair it may have a little kink but do i acutally need them or not?

(this pic was taken like very early so i look bit wierd haha!)

its my first time adding a pic url thing so it shud work i hope :)

    http://liddle-pwincess-me.piczo.com/?g=2/a>Do i need hair straightners?
you dont need hair straightners your hair is beautiful and you dont want to reck it to be honest. your hair is pretty straight anyone, your stunning and make the most of your beautiful hair (: xDo i need hair straightners?
Your hair looks straight to me. You don't look like you need one. But if you really want to invest in a straightener, get a ceramic one. Ceramics actually seal the cuticles of your hair. They don't snag on your locks either. I use a CHI straightener and I love it. I also use heat protection spray to protect my hair. Once a week, I deep condition using Garnier Fructis Fortifying Deep Conditioner. My hair is fine. But like I said, you don't look like you need a straightener.
As long as you use heat protecting products such as heat deffenece you will be alright. i reccomend FHI str8ners i always use them on clients.

having str8ners that have a tempratre ajustment so you can control the heat settings to protect your hair.
Straightening wont do damage to your hair aslong as you use a good heat proecting spray and a conditioner for dry/brittle hair. I wouldnt say your hair needs straightening unless your after for that pin-straight hair.
they do really damage your hair

i dont think you need to use one, your hair looks straight enough and looks really nice naturally

it has good body, using a straightener will only make it look flat
i dont think you need straighteners. your hair looks very straight.

  • Girly's.... Are GHD's the best hair straightners???

By far the best of the best you can buy!!! But you must really use GHD oil on your hair to protect you hair (you should use protection with all straighteners) and GHD's ARE ceramic, so are better for your hair.

They are the best thing I have ever spent 拢100 on and I brought mine when they first come out - so have had mine for ages and they are still goingi strong! You get what you pay for!!Girly's.... Are GHD's the best hair straightners???
without a doubt- well worth every penny and now they come in pink too!Girly's.... Are GHD's the best hair straightners???
As a long haired chap that straightens his hair (don't laugh) I'd say without a doubt that GHD are the best by miles!! But on a negative side, they kill your hair!!
Yes Ghd's are the best, as spidermans uncle once said ';with great power comes great responsibility!!'; DO NOT put these anywhere near your hair without styling heat protection products on your hair, there are very hot! and my hairdresser recommended once or twice a week maximum. saying this I can use these and they keep my hair fairly straight all week!! invest if you can afford the 拢100 price tag!!
No,I have tried GHD but now I have babyliss 230's which are better believe it or not!
no theyre too hot!i am a hairdresser and think remington x2 ones are the best ones ive used so far
They used to be, but probably not anymore - everyone is using the same technology now. Any ceramic straightener with plates that touch and have a curved edge to the outside of the plates will do a similar job. Look for ones with a temperature control and don't, for the love of god, go overboard with them. No-one will be impressed if you make your hair so straight you look like a footballer's wife.

PS Use the money you save on a cheaper brand buying a LOT of conditioner.
yes- best pressie i ever got they straighten, girl and flick better than any other out there, a must investment i think!
i think so. i love my GHD's they are gr8!!!!!even if they are more expensive than some other makes i think they are worth it!
I don't think so, my friend is a hairdresser and I bought some professional straighteners from the hair wholesaler, which she also uses in her salon. They are called Kodo's.

I have stopped using straighteners all together now though as I have been using them for the past 8 years or so and I have just had to have all my hair cut to just below my ears because they totally trashed my hair and it all broke off to different lengths!!!

Straighteners are evil, stay away from the demon straighteners!!!!!!!
    Oh yes.

My Management accountant (can't go 30 seconds without touching her hair) swears by hers.

'The best present I've ever been given' - not by me I might add.
no they are too hot and burn your hair - try remington ceramic ones you can control the temperature
    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
my friend has some and thinks they are great, but her hair looks like straw!!! (shhh, don't tell her!) i use ceramic coated ones and my hair looks nice and straight AND in great condition!

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.

    In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

Toni and Guy 15mm Xs Straightener Pink

I need to buy some new ones tonight

i need them for long, thick ish hair

please tell me what you thought of themAnyone have / used these hair straightners?
yeaaa there great!Anyone have / used these hair straightners?
iv personally never used the toni and guy irons but i can assure you there is not a problem with the new GHD's.

as with any product, things can go wrong. it is important to not wind the wire round the irons and always unplug them once you have used them.

i am a stylist and i have been using irons for a long time and the only ones that can compare to GHD's are the T3's. They are made from tourmaline which is a semi precious mineral and they are a natural omitter of negative ions which act to counteract 90% heat damage. however a heat protector is always advised. redken heat glide is the best i have ever found and im not exagerating!!

happy iron hunting. remember you can always go into a salon and ask them to test the irons on your hair prior to purchase!

    :)
Ghds are the best I have had a pair for 3 years prior to my new pink ghds which I have had since sept, I have never had a problem with them they are expensive but to last me 3 years of straitening with them about twice a day!! I can assure you nothing comes close to the quality!!

Also in my salon we use ghds and all the clients are always amazed at there hair after being done with the straighteners!!

Good luck with your choice hun :-) xx
Haven't heard of that error with ghds yet. But they do come with a 2 year manufactures warranty so as long as you keep your receipt then they'll fix it or give you a new one!
These have really good reviews - loads of people that have had GHDs have them:

No I haven't. But I recommend GHD ones if you want to buy new ones coz they are just AMAZING! lol. I would get some if I didn't have a hair straightener already. Plus I don't straighten my hair anymore, so no point.
    I have GA.MA Italy.

It's an amazing straightener that leaves no frizz and just nice, sleek, straight hair.

    good luck :)
I am a bloke, and even I know that the only hair straighteners worth getting are GHDs.
I have used Toni and Guy 15mm Xs Straightener Pink It works great!!

    It makes my silky smooth.

Get GHD's - they are the best ones around
I wouldn't use toni n guy striaghtners, Niki Clarke's are better for thick long hair. Thats what I have.
    no nvr used one
No. Sorry as I have a GHD hair styler.

they are 拢135.00 and come with a heat mat in a little bagPink ghd hair straightners?
Ebay has them for 拢135.00 which i think is the price in most places.
you can get them from any hairdressers but there not all ways ghds x
Superdrug sells them, as does Boots in the UK, or try their website for stockists.
ASOS.com. You cant but GHD's in the shop.
You can get a really good straightner (pink) from any hairdressers, however, i am not sure that they will be ghd. But i do know that hairdressers have really god pink straightners.
Your nearest hair salon.. though I think they were limited edition from last year because I think it was for breast cancer awareness. I know they sell out really fast.
Buy only direct from your own hairsalon, that way u can take them back if there is a problem. If your hairdresser can't order them for you, it's time to find one that does.

I need advice on hair straightners???

so i need to get a new hair straightner and it needs to work really good. of course the first thing that comes to mind is a chi, but i hear they break easily. true? also i heard the paul mitchell ones are really good. i want one that is small enough to use to curl also, not a really wide one. any suggestions?

o and right now i have a hot tools one...it's okay i guess.I need advice on hair straightners???
Go for the chi turbo 1 inch, it works increadably fast, and i have had if for 6 months now? anyway it does great with curls, and it heats up right when u plug it in. it aslo has a 2 year warranty and it has a temp control.

DO NOT GET THE WET TO STRAIGHT!!! it burns your hair and it is horrible for your hair!!I need advice on hair straightners???

    I just bought a jilbere nano-silver

    It works great!

It think it cost 60 or 70 dollars
ok- so the chi is the best, although it is a little pricy- about $120. but the great thing about them is the have a lifetime warranty!! get your receipt, and if anything ever goes wrong with it you can send it back in and they will fix it. i believe it is a $15 charge. good luck
the chi is great! dont listen to anyone who says it breaks, i've had mine for years and its till working great! the ';strat'; iron is also great, its ceramic so you can use it on wet hair too.
    Hi,

The Chi is by far the best. I have shoulder-length, very thick, sort of wavy hair and the Chi works perfectly!!! I have had mine for a while and it hasn't broken. Some of the people that had their's break probably dropped it in water or something. The Chi is the perfect size for doing anything to you hair. You will get tons of compliments on you hair if you buy the Chi. Hope this helps!!! :)

*I'm assuming you mean real camping, in a tent and all.
seriously...if your desire to fix your hair while camping is that great then you might need to rethink going camping. Seriously it is not healthy to be that much in NEED of a hair straightener.
Can't you just put your hair into a ponytail for the days you're going camping? You probably won't be showering so your hair probably won't look that great anyway. Have fun camping and don't worry about what your hair looks like.

But put the hairstraighner on HIGH, if you have dry hair. and it will only take you 5-10 minutes to straighten your hair really well.

    I LOVE my CHI.

I have thick hair, and it works amazingly.
BEDHEAD well i like my wet to straight or watever but Idk what bran that is
    Bedhead.

    :)
Best one is definitely the CHI, i bought mine 3 years ago and recommended it to friends. Me and my friends that purchased it are all extra happy. It is a little expensive (bought mine 3 years ago for about 100$) but it was well worth it. The connair and revlon are cheap brands I doubt you will get the quality the CHI offers. Few extra bucks will bring you a long way. The CHI's are also very durable (with obvious common sense care not throwing it around) I have mine for like I said over 3 years and still works the same it did on the first day.
    Revlon.

    That is what I had.

Let me tell you and I have very curly hair and it made my hair straight as a board.
I have the bed head straightener %26amp; I love it.

    %26lt;3
yea i have to agree with the others on here that recommended the chi. but i have been hearing about this other one that is kinda new that is supposively really good called the ios.

And no matter what brand you use - get a heat protection product for your hair. It will guard against heat damage. Never straighten your hair w/o any heat protection product in it

    Hair Straightners: Which is better?

Okay guys i need some opinions! I need to know which hair straightner is better; the ISO, the Chi, or the T-Studios Remington Collection!

ISO: My Friend and i were at the mall and at one of the booths they were selling ISOs and she got her hair done. It was really soft and bounsy and they said it was real ceramic so it wouldnt fry ur hair.

The Chi: My friend at camp had one and i used it all the time. it worked really well except that her hair was REALLY fried. and plus the ISO counter lady (see above) lol said that they arent real ceramic but other than that i heard they were really good.

T-Studios Remington Collection: I just used my friends and it straightens my hair really fast. But i dont think its really ceramic. I dont really know more info on that one but whtever.

PS: im open to other options too. but id prefer opinions on these. BTW im 14.

    Hair Straightners: Which is better?
I have a CHI and it works pretty well, plus my hair isn't fried. If you want to invest in a CHI, invest in a thermal heat protectant spray. I would suggest the Kenra Thermal Styling Spray. I've never used ISO but the Remingtons damage hair. I would actually get a Solia if not a CHI

Are ghds the best hair straightners???

GHD's are a rip off! I was asked by GHD to retail their straighteners in my salon recently. I was all for it until I found out the mark up on them. I could have bought them in for not much over 拢40, but was told they had to be retailed at 拢119 ! Not wanting to rip off my clients I decided not to bother with them, so as the real cost + a decent profit would have only made them worth the same as any other high street strightener, they are not worth it, especially as I can always tell which of my clients use GHD's because their hair is always wrecked ! I would highly recommend Babyliss Pro230, they really are FAB!Are ghds the best hair straightners???
any good quality ceramic hair straightener is good....ex. GHDs,Sedu,ChiAre ghds the best hair straightners???
yes thy r fab cldnt live without thm. even salons use them
    yes
ABSOLUTLY NOT! And before you ask, Chi is awful too.

The reason why GHD's are bad, besides the horrible damage, is that they often explode on people or short out within months of buying them. The same goes for Chi. The most they last is like 7 months. Then you have to shell out another hundred for another iron. Go with quality the first time.

The top two straighteners are Sedu and Solia.
    IMO yes
    Yes.
Yes ghd is better, and I have one and actually created very practical and beauty parlors as a tool essential to wish you good luck with ghd...
ghds are the best mines have never messed up i love them and use them everyday and my hair is still in good nick if you use the right product in them
imo, yes because my hairdresser uses them and my hair always looks great after i've had it cut

but i have pink morphy richard ones at home, and they are fine and were only 拢20.
i find that remington are better than ghd

they are half the price and work alot better! x
    No
    apparently yes.

    Problem with GHD Hair straightners...?

This morning when I turned on my GHD's and instead of bleeping once (to tell me that it was heating up) it started to bleep constantly (bleep bleep bleep etc)..It won't heat up...I've tried loads of times but it's still doing the same thing...what's wrong with them???Problem with GHD Hair straightners...?
it is hauntedProblem with GHD Hair straightners...?
GHD Mk4 straighteners use an NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) Thermistor to regulate the temperature of the heaters. If for any reason the electronics does not get a sensible reading from the thermistor, then you'll hear a continuous beep and they won't heat up.

GHD Mk3's do not suffer from this problem (as they don't have a thermistor).

    Cause 1: Bad solder joint

I've seen one pair where the solution was to simply resolder the thermistor onto the PCB. GHD don't use the screw terminals for the thermistor connections to the PCB.

    Cause 2: Broken Thermistor

If the thermistor breaks (i.e. the resistance across it is infinite) then it needs to be replaced.

The best thermistor I have found for the job is a 104GT-1 (datasheet) which is available from Rapid Electronics (part number 61-0452) or our online shop. This is 100kOhm at 25 degC.

When I do this repair I transfer the insulation sleaving from the old thermistor to the new one, and put a small piece of kapton tape around the thermistor's bead. Then you need to glue it down to the heater with a suitable glue (good to %26gt;200 degC). I use silcon adhesive (Dow Corning 744). Put it all back together, and with any luck it should work again!
i have a ghd and that has never happened maybe u got it wet

Try the Remington 2x straightners. I have very curly hair and they work really well. The style holds all night and they don't burn your hair.
The Remington ones are meant to be really good. I have been told that from several people, who consider them to be just as good as GHD's.

I got a great pair for Christmas - BaByliss Pro 230 Elegance 2088U - they're a sort of metallic light brown colour and they're great. Mine were 拢50 from Boots, I think they retail for around 拢50-拢75 but they're def worth it and you'll get them for 拢50 if you shop around.

You can use them to curl your hair as well, and they have different heat settings for different hair types.

Oh, and they are really lightweight which goes a long way when you have long hair.

Get one and I promise you won't be sorry:)

I like my revlon straightener, and my friend has a Chi one that she likes.
    chi turbo, chi
I got a Revlon Wet to Straight and it works wonders. I have tried the cheaper versions and they were junk. I paid around $30 for it at Walmart. I have straighter hair now then I ever have. It reduces the frizz too.
I have the CHI. It's okie for me??? I guess. Hahaha~~~ I'm not really good at straightening hair myself but I'm getting better and better. :) Just have to it in sections - to - sections. And if you're new to straightening your hair, you should get a heat protecting spray. Like VO5 Miracle Mist or Tresseme (or however you spell it) heat tamer. I used both. Tresseme seemed better for me. But I guess it's up to you???

Oh yeah. The CHI costed about $80 off of folica.com(?) I'm not really sure now. I haven't been on their site since Christmas week when I ordered my CHI from there.

And to straighten (well for me):

    1)wet hair

    2)towel dry

    3)apply heat protect spray

4)blow dry hair and get rid of any wet spots in your hair (because water makes your hair curly/wavy again)

5)get your hair into sections (optional, I guess)

    6) Straighten your sections or w/e you want to do. lol~~~... %26gt;_%26gt;

With the world these days, they is no such thing as free. And I doubt someone here would send you theirs, and if they do I wouldn't use it. Just go out any buy a cheap one, they're about $30.Free hair straightners?
I don't think your going to get a Free Flat Iron anywhere...and I really doubt someone's just going to send you a flat Iron.

Why don't you just buy one? Like everyone else?
Go get a WIGO flat iron. They're 20 bucks at Ulta. It works really well. Eventually go get an original CHI which is the absolute best! but those are over 100 bucks so save up! :)
go and buy your own..no1's gonna give you theirs...ask for one for christmas
you can get some for 拢5.

go 2 woolworths and they have a huge sale n i saw sum yestadaii for 拢5.

please do my question! i realli need help please. fanxx
I don't think you can get a free flat-iron anywhere. sorry
You won't ever be able to get a free flat iron from anywhere unless someone gives you theirs. Flat irons can be really cheap like the ones at drugstores or they can be professional brands that are $100+ each.

Just buy one. If you really can't afford one, find a friend that has one or accept the fact that you don't have straight hair.
I don't think you can get a free flat iron anywhere - unless you enter in and win a contest or something.
yu culd get like a hekka cheap one at like sallys beauty supply or just a random salon or store..there pretty cheap. i highly doubt someones going to send you there straightener..and nothins free anymore =(

    http://www.sallybeauty.com/styling-appli/a>

heres where i bought one of my straighteners..yu shuld be able to find somethin cheap here..
I would try online sites. Look for some discounts.

    Or maybe eBay?

    Amazon.com

I don't know? No one is going to send you one most likely.

Straight hair without hair straightners !please help?

iam goiling camping and i have a nice side fringe i have naturel flickey hair(really flicky) how can i make it straight with using staightners pleae helppp pleaseStraight hair without hair straightners !please help?
get a maxiglide they workStraight hair without hair straightners !please help?
    an iron
You could look for a battery powered straightener.

I am not sure where they sell them but they're small and work just as well.
you need a hairdryer(with ions) and a good brush (NO COMBS! they make your hair snap off and frizzy) for this.

after your shower and ish, you get the hairdry and make it angled so that its above your head and not blowing the hair away. and then brush down. you can first make most of the hair dry by just blow drying it everywhere (like how i do it but if your hair is flickety, i suggest you dont) and then doing the angled hairdryer and brushing down.

this usually works for me and so i wont damage my hair or anything.

if its in the morning, you can put in ganier fructis sleek and shine frizz serem. it works really nice and keeps the frizz away for the entire day (and smells nice)
    Use a hair relaxant.
buy sunsilk shampoo with elasticyn-e. it is for unwanted kinks and waves. also, buy the sunsilk straighten up conditioner if the kinks are rly bad. Basically, get all the sunsilk products in lavender bottles. (they are color coded for their purposes- orange for dandruff, pink for shining, lavender for straightening, etc.)

look in CVS, and other stores with shampoos. Also, try indian stores bcuz they always have sunsilk..
can u see if yoyu can get some gas hair straightners are you in the uk as they sell them in a lot of places ie boots argos currys .
    use sunsilk
japanese perm. i've heard they're rather expensive, and you'd have to find a spa where they give them. but basically its the opposite of a normal perm. instead of curling, it straightens and should last for about 2-3 months.
go to your hair dressers and ask if they can chemically straighten it for you.

this shouldn't cost you too much as it's only on your fringe and should last you about 3 months, which saves continuously damaging your hair by straightening it.

however, get it done a few days in advance. a friend of mine had it done and you cannot get it wet for about 2-3 days if I remember rightly as it might not work.

    hope this helps.

Are there better and cheaper hair straightners than ghds?

    Hair straightners..Cheap vs. Expensive?

I have a conair one that I paid like 20 bucks for. I also have a vidal sasson one for thing hair that cost 20 bucks. My hair looks nothing like my friends hair. She uses a 90 dollar one that steams. So is that part of the reason?

My hair always looks dry and dead on the layers. Its pretty healthy tho.

So would an expensive hair straightner make a difference?Hair straightners..Cheap vs. Expensive?
yes because the more expensive ones have newer technology and work well any yeah.Hair straightners..Cheap vs. Expensive?
Price doesn't really make a difference. Although, the type of straightener you're using maybe the culprit to your hair problems. You need a ceramic straightener with good heat settings. Those are what really matter in a straightener.

Here's an article on people's opinions about straighteners:

    http://xetherealbeauty.com/2008/06/16/st/a>

%26amp; Here's a review on a straightener you might be interested in. It's a bit pricey, but I love it. It's the CHI straightener. It also includes tips on choosing the perfect straightener for you :)

    http://xetherealbeauty.com/2008/06/02/ch/a>

    I hope this helps!
You should try the CHI hair straightners. I use the CHI Nano, it works really nicely and it has the steam capabilities. Also, if you don't want to spend a lot of money (CHI is expensive; it can run you over $100 CAD) try using hair product serums that can help with straightening hair. CHI has great hair products as well.
expensive ones work a ton better for me.

i had one and even though it was around $40,

    it was awful.

i sold it at a garage sale and i was glad to

see it go. the more expensive ones can usually

get hotter and do the job quicker so you don't have

to go over the same section a bunch of times to get

    it straight.

folica.com has a ton of hair straighteners, try chi
It would make a slight difference, but in the long run I think you're better off just going cheap. :)

I suppose it depends on your type of hair though. I can get the exact same result with cheap and expensive so I decided cheap is better :)
Get expensive ones, theyre better, and do not damage your hair like cheap ones. You're not supposed to go over your hair folicles more than once (like you do with a cheap straightener) this damages your hair.
this will make a huge difference!!! Check out a Chi or Paul Brown flat iron.....they are both more than $100 but worth the buck!

    Help With Hair Straightners?

I was just wondering.. how do you know what temp. to turn the straightner on? Cause I just ordered one, and i wasn't sure... my old one didn't have an option.. you just turned it on, and it heated up.Help With Hair Straightners?
i turn it up almost to the highest like a couple degrees below. but it doesnt really matter if u turn it up fully... if u have thin hair then little temp but if u have thick hair then highHelp With Hair Straightners?
it depends how hard to manage your hair is..say you have pretty naturally straight hair i wouldnt put it on the highest setting..but if you have frizzy/curly hair it will take longer and more heat to straighten it..but even if you have naturally straight hair you can still put it on the highest setting (but your hair will damage quicker so be careful!) good luck!
Well I usually put mine on 360.

Thick %26amp; Curly hair- Put it on really hot. Thick and curly takes longer to straighten.

If you're wavy %26amp; thin like me- Halfway or lower. Mine goes up to 410..but I'd never go that high for my hair.
Maybe telling how hot the temperature goes up would help us :)
the thicker and more course your hair is the higher temp you put it on.

    the thinner the lower.

no dont get a wet to dry straighterner. realyl bad for your hair. i suggest remington products. they have a wet 2 straight one but please dont streaighten when your hair is wet. I had the remington t studio brown and pink 2 1/4 in one and it was really really good. plus my hair is really thick and curly.
Try a generic brand of Neutrogena, like Rite-Aid's version. Make sure you get everything, though: Cleanser, toner, oil control, and moisturizer (oil-free). Clean %26amp; Clear doesn't work well for me either.

    Try a ceramic hair straightener.

WHICH OF THESE HAIR STRAIGHTNERS IS THE BEST!!!?

Oh well i used to have straight hair but then i got layers and now after i wash my hair it flips out into a yucky wavy kind of hair. im using jilbere right now and its damaging my hair.

which of these straightners works the best, does not damage hair or dry it out, and locks moisture in it???

Sedu, GHD, FHI, Solia, CHI, Infrashine, or KentaWHICH OF THESE HAIR STRAIGHTNERS IS THE BEST!!!?
I have a CHI and I love it. I had both a Rusk and a Conair, neither worked anywhere near as well as my Chi.It will turn my curly hair very straight in 25-30 minutes. Definitely a five star item, would recommend it to all hair types.WHICH OF THESE HAIR STRAIGHTNERS IS THE BEST!!!?
most people think chi is the best, but it's all about preference. FHI is a really good straightener, equally as good as a chi but a lot better in price. if you have an Ulta Beauty near you they're on sale for 79 dollars right now which is an amazing price. if you're just looking to get a good straightener but not pay a huge price then i would go for a wigo. some of them run for as little as 40 dollars and theyre amazing.
i had a chi and works ok compared to my babyliss. It is the BEST straightener i have ever and my hair for a white girl looks like an afro! NO Joke! and i can get my hair board straight in 20 minutes with the babyliss! It is the nano Titanium 1''
DEF A CHI TURBO!! BE PREPARED TO SPEND SOME MONEY THOUGH, BUT IT IS WELL WORTH IT.......OH AND THE BABYLISS NANO TECH DIGITAL IS FREAKIN AWESOME TOO!!
Right now I have a Corioliss and i hate it! I am purchasing a CHI soon and i hear it has very good reviews.
CHI is the best brand out there.
    NONE

    i use herstyler

    i have layers too

    Hair straightners!?

what one do you rekon is bestHair straightners!?
    i just bought the '; ceramic paul mitchell';

one about 7 months ago and it works like a dream

everyone is in love with my straightner when they use it!Hair straightners!?
CHI is by far my favorite brand of hair straighteners. The CHI iron makes my hair (which is naturally thick and curly) very smooth and shiny. I didn't take care of my CHI and it broke, so now I'm using a Revlon that I bought at Wal-Mart and my hair gets straight, but nowhere near as flawless as with the CHI.

FYI: Don't wrap the cord around the iron as it damages the wires inside the cord.
Wahl Cutek, i have one and i love it :] its pretty cheap too.
GHB by far.I have long fizzy curly hair and so do my sisters and we all bought one!!

20 mins and i have salon hair.

    iwould not live without
Don't do that!!!! it will weaken the strength of your hair
definatly a ceramic one , you can buy them anywhere , but be sure you use a protector on your hair like something high in vitaim e, so your hair wont get damaged, it sucks but it can and when it does its not pretty
Chi is the best, I own or have owned a wigo, revlon, conair, revo styler, hot tools, titanium tools jilbere', Chi gets it bone straight, If you don't want to spend 150 bucks then my second favorite is the titanium tools jilbere, but don't get the wide one, my hair gets stuck in it. It is like 50 bucks and gets hair very straight also!
GHD Hair Irons are fantastic. A cheaper option Remington Ceramic Irons.

    Hair Straightners!!?

Hi guys, thanks for taking the time to look at my question and thanks in advance for your answers...

I am looking for some new straightners and I really want GHD's because these are the best but I am confused as to which ones I need. I know I dont need the wide ones as my hair is relatively short and think its the MK3 ones I need would this be right?? I have short hair at the back and jaw length at the front (a defined inverted bob I suppose you would call it).

Are there any good sites to visit for the cheapest price as they are quite expensive (I'm UK based but dont think this should matter should it? *shrug of shoulders*)

    Thanks again ;-)Hair Straightners!!?
http://www.folica.com has a list of the best straighteners and the GHD is the 4th one o nthe list. the best one (which is actually true) is the Sedu. Theres a U.K. version of it and a Europe version (i think). Here it is:

    Hair Straightners????!!!!?

I have had porlly over 4 straightners in the past two years. I keep getting a new one like every 6 months! This is because they just keep breaking, meaning one day they just dont heat up anymore!

Are they supposed to last this long? or am i just getting screwed over time and time again?

i don not leave it on all day or anything. And I have bought straighners from 20-40 dollars

What are some brands you guys trust or wut should i do to make them stop breaking??!Hair Straightners????!!!!?
they are meant to last longer than that usually i have my straighteners for a year minimum before they break. If you can , maybe try and go for a more expensive one. Try Remington, avoid the wet to dry one just go for the normal straightener they are usually not that expensive and work well. GHD's work really well but are very expensive. To make them last longer dont leave them plugged into the wall and try not to have it on for to long.

Which is a best buy: Wide or skinny Hair Straightners?

I have been saving money for new hair tools-

    Hair Dryer

Straightner (CHI- I know, 120 is alot but I love using my friend's one and need my own...)

    Hot Rollers, ect.

and wanted to know, which is a better buy, a wide straightner or a skinnier one?

I heard that the skinnier, the better but I have been looking online for a while now and they all say that the longer your hair, the wider it should be.

I currently have medium length hair but it needs to work on all lengths since the straightner will last a few years and my hair changes length and style every year...

exact measurement would be greatly appreciated!

    :)

Im currently looking at the bed head ones...

hmmm....Which is a best buy: Wide or skinny Hair Straightners?
Hands Down Go buy a CHI Iron and a medium width not small so one slide of the hair is all needed. No doubt the Chi Iron is the best and has a guarentee Keep the box you buy it in.$140.00 is worth it. You get the quality and get what you pay for. Been a stylist for 30 years, trust meWhich is a best buy: Wide or skinny Hair Straightners?
all the really good straighteners here where i live are wide. i think wide are better also because u get more hair in it. but i dont think it really matters on the blade size, just get a really good one that wont fry ur hair :]
i used to have a wide-straightener one and it worked great it was a remington wet-2-straight straightener. but now i have the CHI and its a skinny straightener and it DEFINITELY works better than my older one but i dont think its the actual width of the straightener that matters. and the bedhead straighteners are nice, my friend has one. but i advise that you save up for a CHI.
$120!? I bought mine for like 20 and it works perfectly. I just got it at Rite-Aid and it's Conair and a skinny one. I guess it depends on how much hair you have and mine is relatively thick, so perhaps skinny

Right ladies, I am having problems with hair straightners..?

Since just before Christmas I have gotton through 3!! Admittedly the first two were cheap (about 拢15.00) and were by Babyliss. But the pair I have at the moment were 拢50.00 by Remington. All the straightners just seem to switch themselves off after a month. What is going on !!?? I don't want to keep buying and replacing them every month, surely they must last longer??Right ladies, I am having problems with hair straightners..?
They should last longer...is it the way you care for them? Ask a stylist to advise you...or go to a Sally Hensen Beauty Supply Store. This time fill out that manufactorer's gaurentee thing and send it to them or do what ever the instructions say to so if it breaks in an untimely manner they may replace it.Right ladies, I am having problems with hair straightners..?
If i were you, I would save up all of my money, and buy one for an expensive amount of money. I've had one for about a year, and It was about 200 american dollars, but it works great and it probably won't break for a long time.

Well you shouldn't wrap the cord around it and don't leave it on other than that it is pretty much going to last try getting something like conair or revlon, and sally beauty always has good ones you don't need to spand a fortune just about20 - 50 dollars for a good reliable one.

I have never known straighteners to break this quickly i have had remington, clairol and GHD (these i would recommend) and all of these still work, its the plates that wear out. They should still be under guarantee after only 1 month. Are you leaving them switched on for long periods of time (i mean do you forget to turn them off). If this is not the case are you sure there isn't a problem with your home power and power surges are not just blowing the fuse in the plug.
for a good straightener you need to buy a good one, they are more expensive but they will last longer and most come with a warranty, and they work way better and cause less damage to your hair. try a hai, or chi. i have a hai and i have had it for 3 years, and it still works perfectly. hope this helps.
    i have a chi...it was around $100 i think...but it's definitely worth it because it's lasted for a long time!
BUY a GHD!!! Expensive but well worth it! I have had my for 2 years and its still going strong. Ask at your local hair dresser about them.

How do i clean my hair straightners plates????

    Hi All

I have put this questions to you all before but alas nothing seems to work! Maybe i should have cleaned them a long time before now but never really noticed how much was building up on them. I've tried soapy water, alcohol, even tried siff (which is a household cleaner) but nothing seems to shift it. I thought i would try the question again just incase some new people see this question and knows the answer! I really don't want to buy new straightners if i can help it. There must be something thats goes really deep and gets the build up off!!! I just can't think of what else to try.

    Heres hoping

Ann xxHow do i clean my hair straightners plates????
Hmm ok. I had to do this to my straighter..what is that gunk anyways? lol. Heat ur straightner up, grab a lemon or some lemon juice and put alot on a warm damp (not soaking wet) wash cloth and srub your plates with it, if lemon juice doesnt work use vineger, if vinegar doesnt work use hydrigen peroxided. The lemon juice worked for me! Hope this helps! How do i clean my hair straightners plates????
I clean my iron while its still hot... it makes the stuff come off easier. and I use a dry piece of tissue, napkin, or a rag. A rag is better. do not wet your cloth it while its still plugged.
Ghd does iron oil. Heat the irons apply the oil and then remove with paper towel. Careful not to burn yourself.
my sister tried straightening her barbie doll, so i got plastic al over my old straightners! =(
    try this..

The ghd hair doctor replies: 鈥淭his is a good question don't forget your iron needs cleaning, just like anything else! Spray a light mist of clear window cleaner onto your iron when it is cool, and wipe with a soft cloth until completely dry

    hope this helps
Hey. heat the straightener up and get a damp cloth, making sure it is quiet thick so you dont burn yourself and just wipe the surface of the plates.

    Best hair straightners?

Chi! Don't waste you rmoney on anything else. I've had several different straigheners over the years and this one was the best
If you are looking for a anti frizz serum I think that John Fieda has the best on the market. It isn't greasy and it seems really good. And last forever! I have tried stuff at Sallys, etc. But honestly, it was such a relief to find this after spending $100-$200 in other products. =)
If u have an Ulta get a conair straightener th fats heat new adecion they are reallly expensive but they are worth it .....they cost about 50 dollars f u do not want to spend that much ge t the second to the cheapest brand .....it akways works best fo me
CHI!!!!!!!!! it is the best. it straightens so well. they tend to be more expensive, but if you see when they are on sale you should reallly get a chi.

i got it for only 25 dollars. and it works for me.

try going to target to see.
i use some type of conair ceramic one. its pretty good. walmart, 25 bucks
gold plated revelon, is good, thats what me and the rest of my family use.
    revoln is good
I have Vidal Sasson and it is great. It only cost me 20 dollars, and get the ceramic because thats what I have.
I'm not American so it won't help you to tell you what brand I use but at first I was very skeptical about straighteners I thought nothing could straighten my wavy hair, I was wrong ceramic straighteners really work. I bought a very cheap one and it works perfectly!
i bought a $40 conair ceramic one from target... works just as good as the expensive chi and other ones....ceramic plates work best however compared to the metal ones
    conair
Omg! A GVP, General Value Products.. go to Sally Beauty Supply. It works really well and its pretty cheap!

    Good Hair Straightners???

I have the Remington Wet to Straight straightner. It works really well, you can even use it after you take a shower when your hair is wet!Good Hair Straightners???
I just got the new Sedu Professional w/ nano technology and i love it! It's a bit expensive but it's a very nice iron. I've had Conair and Solia but didn't like them. My hairstylist uses GHD and they're really good but they cost around $200.Check out folica.com for reviews. It's a great website-fast and free shipping, hassle free returns, reviews and advice!Good Hair Straightners???
Heat activated straighteners work well, if you're using a flat iron. I've used several brands--KMS, Matrix--check a local salon.
Chi are the best kind. it leaves your hair really shiny, and it straightens it great. its what most beauticians use.
Go to Folica.com and you can see all kinds there and read reviews. They have pretty good prices. I bought mine there (it's a Solia) and it works pretty good every single time. I've had it for over a year and it still works like the first time. They say CHI ones are really good too. you should go on that site. The reviews really helped me make my decision and i'm sure it will help you. Good luck!
corioliss .. i think that is the spelling but they do have a website and you can order one online? just look it up on google .. its amazingly worth it and it straightens so well
u can get it a superwalmart or k-mart or at the mall i am not sure were i seen it but pretty sure they r at superwalmart cuz that is where my friend got hers.
yuH dA chI sTRiAgHTnEr 鈾?yA lOTs
the remington wet 2 straight...gosh its so perfect
My hair is coarse and curly. Paul Mitchell is the ONLY one for me for about $129- don't forget the heat protectant spray!
It depends on what type of hair you have. If you have thin, easy to straighten hair, try conair flat irons. If you have wavy, thick, tangly or harder to straighten hair, you should definately try chi flat irons. They work on all hair types. The best one is probably Cricket flat irons though. They work great on every hair type and you can adjust the heat setting. If you don't want those for curlier hair, just get a good 1 and a half inch because one that is too big will leave a crease in the top of your scalp where your hair begins.
ohhh my gosh chi and wee chi and big chi are all awesome there the same type but different sizes. you can get one at ulta or a hair salon
I have latin curly hair that if it doesnt have gel or mousse it looks like an afro puff!!!! So take it from me, the FAROUK CHI is the best out of all the Chi's out there. Leaves ur hair silky, doesnt burn ur hair and u dnt have to blow dry, just air dry and str8en
GHD's are the best around but they are pretty expensive. I use rimmington wet2straight which I think are really good - just dont straighten with wet hair (even though that is the purpose) because it can damage your hair.

I don't know about that one.

The one I use is from Chi and it's pink.. the retail is about a hundred but I bought it on Ebay for $15.00

It works so amazingly. My friend has the curliest of curly hair and it gets it pin straight o.o
    I got a conair Wet 2 straight.

at first it scared me, i thought i would get zapped, but i didn't.

it's like, 40 dollars, i don't know how much that is in pounds tho.

it works good, alot of people have them.
chi is the best. it is expensive but i have several friends that are hair dressers %26amp; they swear by the chi brand.
well it all depends on your hair type. do u have thick hair? if you do then that type will take a long time to do because u need to divide your hair into Lot's of little sections .you know? but if you have thin hair naturally then i say go for it. it looks like a good brand for a cheap Price :) the best ones lol
    CHI, THEY WORK MIRACLES
i use vidal sassoon ceramic ... it's really good and has 25 heat settings.

    %26gt;%26gt; http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a/a>

that's the exact one i use ... and i have really wavy hair so it's really good and it's only $30
yeah that one is pretty good. If you want a more expensive one look at ulta.com or sephora.com

You just need to buy a traevl adaptor - it just plugs into their plug so you can use UK plugs without any problems.
    ebay....

    http://search.ulta.com/search?p=Q%26amp;ts=v2%26amp;/a>

    OH . . . you need a pluggy thing . . . not a straightener . . . you need a travel adapter . . . they plug into UK plugs easily . . . here's a new link . . .

    http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-F8E449-Univ/a>
    there won't be any effect

all you will have to get is an adapter for the plug
A perfectly good straightener for about $20-$30 are sold at CVS. My sister got her's there and it works great. It looks like this: http://www.conair.com/-p-594.html

    It works!
hmm.. i have a CHI straightener that works really well and is really nice. you can get it at folica.com, and pretty much any big beauty store. search it on google!

    hope this helps! =]
british hair straighteners work in america.

ive been to america loads and mine work

    mine also work in europe.

you just need a plug adapter cos their sockets are different.
I have heard that you can get Gas styling products like straightners but i don't know if they are any good or what

    Check this out though....http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/pa/a>
Umm, some hair straighteners have a 'Worldwide Voltage'. You should check that your straighteners don't before you buy some new ones. Many straighteners now have 'Worldwide Voltage'. If you are worried that the English plug won't work in Jamaica, you can get one of them Traval Adaptor plug. You could try eBay for American straighteners but I don't know of any other websites. Sorry- I thought I would just warn you about Worldwide Voltage incase you didn't know :)
I don't know why your hair straighteners would work any differently?

Perhaps they meant they won't have an effect, because the heat in Jamaica will just make your hair kink again.

Just make sure you have the correct travel adaptor and you'll be fine!
    CHI's are the best! :o)
    conair
    get a chi

i have two and they are amazing!

they work wonders on my hair and the black original ones are the ones that get the hottest temp. they r avalible at target

    hope i helped

    Hair Straightners.?

Does anyone know a good brand of a hair straightner? one that you would reconmend that works good for thick wavey hair? My previouse one dosent work as well. It keeps my hair straight for less then half the day.

Anyone recomend any quality brands?Hair Straightners.?
I like PLUGGEDIN from Sally's beauty, it is tourmaline, and pink and only like 40 bucks!!Hair Straightners.?
I've used the Chi, wet to dry and it was awesome, but you have to be careful or you will burn your hair! Here is a link to the Chi straighteners. Chi is a good quality brand!
I bought a Chi straightener from Sally's about two years ago for like $80 and it works really well... it keeps my hair straightened from the time I style it until I wash it again. Hope this helps!

Anyone know of any good hair straightners?

ok so i have wavy hair and i like to straighten my hair alot.

the only problem is that my flat iron (wet2straight by remington) just isnt cutting it anymore. when i straighten my hair, it ends up getting all stringy and curves and just doesnt want to go the way i want it.

i talked to the very nice woman that cuts my hair about my issue and she says i just need a better, more costly flat iron.

does anyone know of any really good ones? my price range is like 50-100 dollars.

maybe a little more.Anyone know of any good hair straightners?
SEDU works great but expensive like 80-140

you could also try chi but it works a lot better if you have thinner hair

Conair is the cheapest you an find it at target for 30 dollars it works for me but it doesn't work for everyone and it's poor quality

Bedhead 2 straightener works really good but to keep your hair from getting super damaged you have to buy the whole bedhead set and that can be really expensive Anyone know of any good hair straightners?
    AHH YESS

i use a flat iron called bioionic

    its 175 dollars buttt

    its amazing

its made to condition your hair as it straightens and it has different settings for different types of hair.

it will keep your hair straight allll dayyy

    and straightens twice as fast...

its amazing and it will leave your hair silky smoohth

and the best part is.. is that it DOES NOT fry your hair or break it like most flat irons do...

    i love it

and its definately worth the money.

    it will last forever.

    =]
chi! a really good one would be around 100
