Hair straightners burn my hair off..?

My girlfriend was round earlier..

And i have the front bit of my hair stuck up with gel/wax/haispray one or the other..

And she wanted to see me with curly hair, so i was curling the front bit, i noticed the small after a while, and a peice of hair fell on the floor..

i have washed and conditioned my hair now, but the ends of my fringe/bangs [?] feels a bit frazzled..

Why do you think this happened after one use..Hair straightners burn my hair off..?
if you had any gel, etc,on at the time that would def contribute, ask her if you can do hers and accidentally stick hot straighteners on her neck, that will teach her !!Hair straightners burn my hair off..?
haha sorry to laugh but my sister did the same thing to me last year, my hair was bleached so i think that played a big part because is was so dry, have you dyd your hair?

when girls straighten there hair they usually use some kind of protecting syrum, and even if they dont use this they regularly use shampoo, conditioner, treatment etc. so there hair can handle the extream heat, when your girl friend used them on your hair, if your hair had product on it the product would have been absorbed by the hair pores, you would think that this would offer some kind of protection but in fact the product gets so hot the hair reaches melting point.

to be honest you carnt revers the effect but using a conditioner will help, when you buy it look out for ';deap nourishing conditioner'; this will have a better softening effect.

but look on the bright side: a girls hair is very long and if they burnt it it would take years to grow back, us guy can wait a couple of months and it gunna get choped of eventually, also i think you will find once your hair is slightly frazzled it sticks up better, mine did : )
probablly too hot and your hair was too thin for the heat. ALWAYS put a straightening product or a heat protective product on your hair. the burnt ends wont go away till you cut em. Have them ';point cut'; to blend and soften them since its your bangs. And ALWAYS use the LOWEST heat thats effective for you hair type! Also NEVER flat iorn wet hair, itll damage and frizz it
This happens often when people already have gel or mousee in their hair.

It happened to my friend when she had mousse in her hair.

So definetely don't straighten your hair when there's gel in it.

%26amp; try using your straightener in a lower heat.
you probably applied the heat for too long, that stuff happens. don't worry, it will grow back.
the curler/ straightener was much too hot! Or you kept it there too long!
