i think i would try the remmington but u should try ordering online like go to walmart get a prepaid credit card you can purchase it at any age and then u load it up with the amount u want and then u can use it anywhere like a regular credit cardHair Straightners.........????
The best quality straightener I've found at wal-mart (and trust me I've tried alot from there) that isn't too pricey is the Conair Gel Grips straightener. It has ceramic plates and the plates aren't big in width at all. It heats up in 30 seconds and has an automatic turn-off if it has not been used for an hour or so. It costs $40.00

Good Luck.

mine is a metallic red one made by conair. i bought it from wal mart over 2 yrs ago and have never had a problem with it. it's really thin, lightweight, and even makes my wavy hair straight as a board. it even shuts off on it's own when it gets to a certain temperature which makes it really safe. (it only does that when it's on and your not using it because when in use the moisture in your hair cools it enough to stay on.) that's really useful for me because there have been many times i have been in a hurry and left it on but it's always off when i get home. i would definately reacommend it for anyone. also, i believe it was around $30!!!!! it works just as good as ones my friends have paid over $100 for. also, it has 25 different heat settings and only takes a little over a minute to heat completely on the highest setting! no matter what you choose, GO CERAMIC.
