Hair Straightners?

is it true that if you use heat defense before using hair straightners it will damage your hair even more?Hair Straightners?
No. I've been using heat protectant since August and my hair has gotten so much healthier since then. If you DONT use it, it could damage your hair.Hair Straightners?
ANY kind of hair straightner method kills the hair
No, and yes.

If you buy a heat protectant and its in the form of a spray you have to spray it on then let it sink in for about a minute or two.

People forget that the spray is a liquid, and when they spray it and jump straight to the striaghtener it's like straightening wet hair. Big no no!!!!

And accutally you can hear the sizzle of the flat iron when you don't let it sink in cause the hair is wet.

But let it sink in for a couple of minutes. You'll be fine.

Hope I hepled
Here are a few things you can do to truly protect your hair from heat damage: condition your frequently (daily if possible); use a deep conditoner at least once a week; use a reconstructor at least once a month; always use a leave in conditioner (heat defense or any other barrier to styling tools); and do not leave heat in one spot for more than 3 seconds.

A good rule of thumb is if the heat is hot enough to scorch your finger, it is hot enough to scorch your hair!! If you leave an iron on for longer than 3 seconds it will burn thru whatever product you place on your hair and will have a fried smell.
I think if you let the product dry first before applying the straighteners it really does help to protect your hair. If you put the straightners on damp hair it burns it. I've really improved my hair condition by using a heat protective spray and a leave-in conditioning spray, followed by some serum! Hope this helps!
i dont think so.
i've never heard that before.

but i doubt that it's true, unless you hear it from the professionals.
why would it if it's heat defense? ich weis es nicht.
not that i know of. i would like to find out tho.
Any heat - blow dryers or hot irons can damage your hair. Make sure you use moderation and good conditioners.
no it protects your hair.
