My hair straightners wouldnt turn on when i went to the dominican last year, however when i got back to the UK they worked fine. any ideas why this might of happened? i am due to go to mexico this year an really dont want this to happened again! should i buy cheaper hair straightners? mine are GHDS
xxxxxHair straightners wouldnt turn on in the Dominican?
don't worry there's nothing wrong with your Straighteners, its just that the caribbean area has different voltage than the UK. Since you bought the tool in the UK, it can only be compatible with 220V, and it cannot work with what the voltage is in the Dominican. I believe its 220 V in UK and 120V in Dominican. Just tot make sure, search up on google what the voltage in mexico is.
best of luck!Hair straightners wouldnt turn on in the Dominican?
Maybe the dominican's power supply wasn't enough to work your straightener...You could try buying a cheaper/less powerful one, or try putting your heat setting on a lower setting. That is weird though...
