Going to the US next week, want to take my straightners, phone charger and camera charger so will need a plug. Which is simple until i read about voltage convertors. And the fact that most are not suitable for use with hair straightners. Can anyone recommened where I can get something for under 拢10 that will be suitable? Most seem industrial size!UK to Usa travel plug / voltage convertor for use with hair straightners?
They have those on a major shopping centers who sells anything you needed for your vacations. If you have Walmart...they should have it in a package. Check that one.UK to Usa travel plug / voltage convertor for use with hair straightners?
You won't have problems with transformers like you will with electric motors designed to run on 50hz while the U.S. is 60.
Any large department store should have one. What I would do, with that many things to plug is is take a multiple plug in to plug into your adapter. But, you're going to need to get that in the U.K. because you'll be needing on to step up from 110/120 to 230. If you get one in the U.S., it will be for travel in Europe.
I think hair straighteners are only about 15 to 25 watts, you shouldn't have any problem with that low wattage. You don't have to worry about forgetting to use the adapter either as the plugs in the U.S. are smaller and won't fit a U.K. plug.
