I have to straighten my hair every morning and my hair is ust looking so dull and lifeless. Has anyone got any advice or products that i could use to help my hair feel better.Hair straightners?
cooking oil is good!Hair straightners?
You can buy straightners that are better for the hair and I use tressemme heat defence spray and my hair always looks better.
It could be that you are using your straightners too much if you only use them after you wash your hair or everyother day your hair will look alot better.
Hope this helped

conditioners
Check this out...MIXED CHICKS Hair Care(www.mixedchicks.net). This stuff is great.
1.Shampoo, rinse
2.Deep condition, comb out tangles, rinse
3.Work the leave-in throughout wet hair.
4.Air dry (No towel or blowdrying)
5.Go
On day two, don't shampoo, just cleanse with the deep if your hair is dirty or just re-wet and reapply the leave in. You shouldn't have to shampoo more than two times a week.
For the occasional striaght look, use the same routine before you iron your hair straight. Mixed Chicks is a good thermal protector.
Might be worth a shot. If you blast with chemicals, eventually your hair will come back ';home'; and you will be puffy and fried. Mixed Chicks really will tame the frizz and poof and define curls.
Good luck!
Try straightening products by Lee Stafford.
mousse
This is too often to be using straighteners. I know it may be difficult if you want poker straight hair every day but try different styles instead and use the straighteners only twice a week.
Always use a heat protection spray - we use one by Tresemme or Mark Hill but most major brands do them.
I also straighten my hair most mornings, with GHD straighteners which are thought to be one of the best as they get really hot. So i understand where your coming from my hair has also previously been very dry and lifeless.
Cooking oil (olive oil is the one i use) is very good for re hydrating the hair, it puts the natural oils back into your hair and will make it a lot softer, shiny and healthy.
Rinse your hair so that it is wet, put a reasonable amount of the oil in ur hair, brushing it through with your fingers or a comb, from the roots to the ends. Leave it in for any amount of time from half an hour, to the whole day for a more intense treatment and leave it in a towel. Once you have done this shampoo and rinse your hair thoroughly and use your usual hair products.
Extra tips: use heat defence spray on your hair before straightening.
Look for a good shampoo, conditioner and possibly a hair mask to suit your type of hair.
You could look into buying it from a wholesalers or hairdressers for cheaper prices on good products and advice.

Shampoo, conditioner, (use deep treatment twice a week) and protect (using heat protecting spray/leave-in conditioner).
I shampoo and condition with the Aussie hair care range (available from Boots). Same goes with the deep treatment and leave-in conditioner. I then use heat protecting spray (Tresseme) when straightening my hair x
i straight my hair every day and when my hairs looking down i use vo5 hot oil its only 99p and i usually use it once a week and it looks great afterwards just make sure your using a straightening spay to when straightening your hair or else u will damage your hair
Use a good shampoo and conditioner, like Aussie, whenever you can, leave your hair to dry naturally. Use a heat protection spray before straightening so your hair doesn't burn and dry up. Also you may want to buy some better straighteners, GHDs are really good if you have the money, if not I used to use Remingtons and they were ok
having your hair permanently straightened could be an option if you wanted to save time in the morning - but do it at the hairdressers. any of the tigi bed head conditioners, serums, shine sprays range will make you feel a million dollars i promise - and they all smell heavenly
Heat protection shine spray. Mist available
My hairs exactly the same... try using some heat protecton thing befor you straghten your hair... you can get it in superdrug or boots unless you live somwhere else lol .... it worked for me!!
kenneths hair salon sells this amazing stuff called smoothing gel.
it's orange(doesn't show up that color of course)
you just put it in your hair before you dry/straighten it and it makes it shiney and smooth.
also helps prevent heat damage which is probably why your hair is looking dull.
it's not too expencive.
pretty super stuff (:
good luck to ya.
tresseme products r gd lyk - tresseme heat defence spary
nd tresseme shampoo nd conditioner xx
You Should just get a
Japanese Straightener
it Lasts from 6 months to a year
but its really expensive
from 400 to 700 at a top salon
and you have to keep straightening you
roots but other that that you hair will be
completely straight no matter what
washing and the works
tresseme shampoo and conditioner is a winner!
also, try not to straighten ur hair too often and it will become fuller
GHD'S are the best strightiners
hope i helped
I do the exact same thing, and i use to have the exact same problem, lol.
What you should really do is, first, make sure you hair is completely bone dry before you straiten it! That is especially important. Before i talk about products to use, i also must say that it is extremely important to have your hair trimmed once a month! I myself didn't want ot do this cuz my hair does not look good short, or i should say, wouldn't have looked good being shorter than it was when i decided this, but it is essential, especially for good hair growth. Now like every one else is suggesting, tresseme products do very well, especially heat defense spray. What i did is i went to walmart, lol, i looked at the best kinds of shampoos, key words such as split end defense or, dryness, or restore damaged hair. These shampoos and conditioners will work the best. But the top three brands that have helped me with this specific problem is tresseme, pantene pro v, and dove. I also sometimes use sunsilk, again these all have to say on the bottle key words such as the ones used above. Also, get some kind of heat defense spray! Another thing that helped me, is not blowdrying my hair, it was hard, but it is way better for your hair. Now the straiteners that i have are two, one for main, and one for quick touch ups. The one i use for main is called the maxiglide, you can order it online, or you can find it at a local bed bath and beyond store. They are about eighty dollars, pricy, but worth it. It uses steam and detangling pins to straiten your hair, instead of hot ceremic or metal plates that most straitners have that only flatten! Now my quick touch up one, it is ceramic! If you want to use a ceramic straitener, make sure that the plates are real ceramic, now, real ceramic plated straitners are not cheap! They go from anywhere around one hundred to two hundred dollars! Especially japanese ones that can go from two hundred on up, but believe me, the price is worth it! If it's expensive, thats how you can tell if it is really ceramic. If you don't care about quick touch up, then i would truely reccomend the maxiglide. All these things helped me with my problem to begin with, and still continue to help me. And one more thing, the reason why i listed different brands of shampoos and conditioners is because it is essential, to switch them atleast every two months! Good luck =P, i really hope these tips help ^ _ ^
If your hair is curly or wavy you should use the frutise products. If you like it straight then do more hairstyles with it. And if you want a really good straightener then buy the chi.
