Out of all the straightners i've had, ghds have been the best!Hair straightners GHDs, Remmingtons or babyliss??
Well, I've never owned or used remmingtons or babyliss.

But i own a pair of GHDs.

They may be a bit more expensive, but trust me, they are worth it.

I would'nt recommend straightening your hair every day with them, but i straighten mine every other, and have been doing for over a year, and my hair looks fine.

I also have thick hair, kinky hair, and they make it look amazing.

The ghds have brilliant ceramic plates, and heat up within a minute.

Hope that helps.
GHD's!! Definetely, they get really hot so would be perfect for your 'thick, long' hair. A bit expensive but worth it. They get a really good look, they're versatile. Yes, as they get very hot they may cause damage but it just means you have to protect your hair more. Try using hot oils one a week or something for extra protection, they're only about 99p. GHD's are just better all round imo.
my solia works excellently my hair is very soft shiny smooth and straight after i use it and whenever i get my hair cut they tell me its very healthy. u should try solia i think its on sale at folica.com.

i heard that ghds brake very quickly and ive never heard of babyliss
I have long thick curly hair, and i can honestly say that I love my ghds! They are a god send! I've tried other straighteners before which were ok, but they just can't beat the ghds. Hair gets straighter and STAYS straighter than with the other straighteners, also takes alot less time to get it straight too! Go for the ghds!
I have really curly hair and I use :

Infiniti by Conair Instant Heat Ceramic 2'; Straightener

model: CS32

It can get up to 395 degrees.

You can get it at a Walgreens and/or a CVS

It works really well.

Retail Price : $65.99

I paid $49.99 at Walgreens
GHD's are without doubt the best! Remington are good too but mine broke easily. I've had my GHD for 5 years and it still works perfectly. If you use heat-protection product your hair won't get damaged. Babyliss aren't that great - that's why they're cheap.
I have thick hair and have tried many flatirons without a lot of luck. The best one I have used is a Chi. I love it. It does a fantastic job. It is expensive, but worth every dollar.
I have the remmington. It is OK... It isn't

really fast to straighten because it is so

small. But it is still pretty good for both

straightening and curling if you have time.
GHDs are the best by far.

BUT

to keep your hair under control and to not damage it, invest in a good straightening spray which will definetly protect your locks.
GHD's, don't settle for any less! I have long thick hair and the thick style GHD's are BRILLIANT!
all i know is;

babyliss

are rubbish. :)

x
Babyliss is the one i use!!! It works very well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i love it!!!!!!!!!!
I use 't3 tourmaline'

because it has a range including tongs, straightners, dryers and hair products etc.

http://www.t3tourmaline.net/index.php

there are a couple of websites to help

if you have thick long hair i would recomend a wide duality:

they will go through your hair smoothly, as do mine. and you are able to change the temperature if your hair may 'fry' !

remmingtons and babyliss are just brands, not actual companys. i would also recommend Ghd's, however i have never used them, i have heard good reviews.

talk to your hairdresser/salon about t3 tourmaline, you may get them cheaper, as i got 拢30 off of mine

i have watched a couple of english extreme makeovers, where they travel over to the US to have makeovers, and when their hair is getting done for their revealing, i have seen them use t3's, and have said to my mum - 'o my gosh, they use my straightners over in america, they must be good!'

- seriously im not lieing, anyway ive said enough

good luck with the straightning!
