Will my hair straightners work in America? ?

I have FHI straightners but they need 220volts to reach the maximum temp, is there anything i can buy to convert the voltage to uk voltage from america?Will my hair straightners work in America? ?
Yep! They sell converters at virtually anywhere hardware store, likely even places like Walmart and all I'd think. I know at least they sell them at Home Depot, Lowes etc.

no the wont coz american plug sockets different from ours trust me i been and we had to go out and buy these adaptor things
no they wont heat up properly, even the hair dryer wont be as powerful, when I went to san deigo I had this problem.
Im quite sure they will, my mum has GHD's (the leading brand) and they worked fine in Egypt,Spain and Bulgaria.
i took GHD's to america and they didn't work at all so i had to buy a cheap pair when i was there, so you'd need something
a converter?
