most european countries and America have lower voltage electricty supplies than in the UK, hence why when we travel abroad we have to get a special adaptor to use our electrical products with. I have had the same problem with my ghds abroad. Why does my ghd hair straightners when I use them in Spain don't appear to be as hot compared to the uk?
Because in the UK you have 240 to 250 volts and in Spain you have about 210 to 220 so the temperature is lower ever so slightly. Why does my ghd hair straightners when I use them in Spain don't appear to be as hot compared to the uk?
something to do with different voltage in the electrical systems?
its possibly to do with the voltage I have the some problem with my hairdryer it is very fash here in the uk when i go away i could blow quicker they have different volt to us thats why u need an addaptor
Lower voltage I think. My hairdryer is like a pathetic little breeze when we go on holiday some times.
UK , is 240 volts, Spain is only about 180-200 volts.
Think yourself lucky that way you wont damage your hair as much.
