I would like to add that the Croc 2 is the best by far flat iron I have encountered. Either size is fine. I work along side a beauty supply distributor here in New York City. The best :)

Which one is better small or big hair straightners?
my hair is long, curly and thick. i prefer a larger Straightener because it takes more of my hair at a time and takes less time to straighten. i use Conair platinum. its great when you don't have much time to do something special with your hair. i use mine all the time before school, parties etc.. I have one of each. I like my big one because it can straighten more hair at once but I use my small one if I only wanna straighten a few peices of hair of if I'm going somewhere and packing it.And small ones are good for curling peices of hair
I prefer the small ones, on my course, thick, curly hair. I think it's better to take small sections to get an awesome straight style. So why not have a small iron. Plus, you can do curls with a small one.
If by big, you mean wide, then it would be better for your type of hair. The smaller straighteners are for thin hair. I recommend the Remington Wet 2 Straight. I use it and get professional results everyday.

Small. You can curl and stuff with it. And it's much easier to control and use! Good Luck :)
Big! The higher the watts the better and also a wet to dry one from Walmart works Uh-Maze-Ing.
i would say small they are much more easier to move around and less chances to burn yourself
big one straighten easier
but small ones detail hair good but it takes waay long especaily if u have long hair
I have a bed head straightner and it's amazing! It is a big one but it's amazzzzing!!!!!
I think you should get a bigger one because you have coarse hair.
