What hair straightners are good apart from ghd ones? are vidal sassoon and TRESemm茅 hair straightners good?

i am going shopping today and want to buy a hair straightner but i want to know which ones are good. i'm thinking of TRESemm茅 and vidal sassoon. the vidal sassoon micro crystal straightner is what i want but i want to know. will the glass crack?What hair straightners are good apart from ghd ones? are vidal sassoon and TRESemm茅 hair straightners good?

It all really depends on how much you are willing to spend. I've had most brands of straighteners from babyliss, remington, vidal sassoon but the ones i found most effective were morphy richards..that was until i discovered GHD. Every pair of straighteners i've ever owned have only lasted for about a year b4 they become virtually useless, that is except 4 my GHDs which I've had 4 nearly 2 years now and even though I use them everyday, they are still like brand new. If its the price which puts you off, they are available in a mini size at a cheaper price but really I'd reccommend saving up and buying the regular size. They are well worth the money and will actually save you money in the longterm.

As a white person who *hates* her own straight hair, I wonder why people would want to straighten theirs. What I wouldn't give for some texture.

I recommend a straightener with ceramic plates. Try to buy your straightener from an actual beauty supply store (ex. Sally Beauty Supply) instead of Wal-mart or Target or something. This is because the straighteners sold at actual beauty supply stores can usually reach a lot higher temperature, therefore giving you a better result. But since the temperature is hotter, it can be more damaging and drying to hair so use a heat protection spray. I recommend that you don't buy a wet to dry straightener if you plan on straightening your hair everyday or almost everyday because this is unbelievably damaging to hair. It frys it. The flat iron I own is made by Helen of Troy. I wasn't able to spend that much money on my straightener but I am still very happy with the quality. It all just depends on your budget. But you can still buy a very good straightener at an affordable price.
i have a conair ceramic one...i love it, it works really well. i know this isnt going to help you know, b/c you already got one, but i figured i would tell you any way.
i would really stick to ghds. if not remmingtons wet to straight are really good those are the best ones i no of .
