http://www.folica.com/Solia_Tourmalin_r1/a>What are the best hair straightners to buy?
remington wet to straight. it has different heat settings so you can find one that works for you! and it's under $30 at walmart!
im not sure on a specific brand but make sure the plates are ceramic not metal. The metal is harsh on the hair and damages it easily.
i know the CHI flat iron is extremely popular, but its not my favorite. I have a hot styler which i love. If your hair is really stubborn than a salon iron is the best route. Try to get one with adjustable heat is best, so you can increase it if you need to, without frying your hair with a one temperature iron. Also, get good straighteneing products to help your hair stay straight all day long.
Ceramic plate straighteners are the best. Do not buy the wet 2 straight bc the steam blisters your hair. To get your hair less frizzy, when you condition, comb through it with a wide tooth comb. Never use a brush on wet hair, use the comb. If you have curly hair, you should never brush through it even if it's dry, to detangle it, use a hair pick. These videos will help:

Chi straightners are best. Get hair straightening serum with it.
the only straightener that will fully work on your hair type to get the sleek shiny straight hair that you want is a GHD. but because your hair is curly your should use a heat protectant spray and a frizz taming serum before you straighten your hair. however the frizz taming serum is for after you straighten your hair. this will give you sleek shiny and healthy straight hair.
i love my ghd's and wouldn't have anything else!
Chi
chi.
its awesome.
Sedu
ISO(Heats in 6-8 seconds!)
Either one is good, but everyone is gunna say CHI,but CHI's break easily and stop working real good after 7 months or so.

CHI flat irons
I have very thick curly hair..I use Jose Eber pro series..it's the ONLY straightner I do not have to use any products with to help with straightening...and it lasts! and leaves a great shine
GHD's without a doubt, they're expensive but they're widely known as being the best out there.
I think CHi, and they are on sale at Sally's for 59.99, all cute colors too, they go as high as 410F, and did I mention that have cute colors, pink, purple, ble, etc.. I'm going to get a pair tomorrow
