What are the best hair straightners on market that dont cost a fortune?

I use Trevor Sorbie straighteners, they cost 拢50 from Boots. I have very long, thick, wavy hair and these are easily as good as GHDs. If you have fine hair then to be honest you could get away with spending less than this - Remington ones are supposed to be very good (not Wet2Straight ones though - load of rubbish!)

People only buy GHDs for the hype around them. Do you really think that the people who claim that nothing else is as good as GHDs have tried every other brand of straighteners on the market? What are the best hair straightners on market that dont cost a fortune?
the andis ceramic straightner at wal-mart for like 15 dollarsWhat are the best hair straightners on market that dont cost a fortune?
It depends if you call 拢100 a fortune...if you don't then GHD are the best. Look on EBAY.
I have the Remington 3X protection straighteners and they are great! My daughter just bought some pink corioliss straighteners on a trip to the USA and paid 拢80 for them! They are not as good as the cheaper Remington ones!
morphy richards are pretty good and are reasonably priced too.
I would never use anything but GHD but they're about 拢100.
I tried loads of cheaper versions but none work as well as good old GHD. They are a little bit cheaper on e-bay
If you want a good one, you need to be prepared to spend at least 80.00cdn( 70.00US?) If you buy from a pharmacy, you're not paying very much but at the same time the iron is not that great. Spend the extra money for a good one. Most hair salons have them or can order them for you.
wet 2 straight at walmart for 30 bucks. it works great!
once I got a perm kit and instead of using rollers as the directions state I just combed by hair straight and it worked. The cost varies, but it was cheaper than a straightener. Or you could get a heat straightener for around $15-30 and see if you want straight hair before you make it permanent.
anyone you ask will say ghd but i paid 25 pound for mine and they are thermoglass they heat up to 200 degrees and they are just as good as ghd
i agree with everyone that said get GHDs, i have a pair and they are worth every penny, i got mine from a company on the Internet for 拢85 plus a free heat proof mat that is essential as the straighteners get so hot.

if you buy a cheap pair of straighteners, that is just what you get, they aren't as good, they won't last as long and by the time you have bought maybe 2 trying to find ones you like, you might as well have invested in a pair of GHDs (it stands for Good Hair Days and they are right)

and to Adele P, i am speaking from experience cos i tried 3 brands before i finally decided 拢100 wasn't as extreme as buying ones that were useless.and they were awful compared to GHDs.
Conair's ceramic iron. It's about 25-30 bucks and they sell it at Walmart.
Remmington ceramic 拢30 from argos, better than GHD which are 拢100. you need to get the ones with the gold looking plates. im a hairdresser n i swear by them!
