My hair smells burnt after i straighten and so does my hair straightners..how can i get rid of the smell?

You need to use some type of thermal protectant on your hair before using the flat iron and if it has a temperature control on it then you should set it at a lower temperature. Hope this helps with your problem. My hair smells burnt after i straighten and so does my hair straightners..how can i get rid of the smell?
your hair may be a little wet or you r not using protecon spray when straightening or your straits' may be knakerdMy hair smells burnt after i straighten and so does my hair straightners..how can i get rid of the smell?
You're probably running them over the same section or holding them n the same section too long %26amp; burning your hair, hence the smell. Either that or your straightnrs are screwed %26amp; you need new ones babe
I use my Paul Mitchell straightner every day. In addtion, I also use Paul Mitchell quick slip and super skinny serum on my hair prior to drying my hair. This protects your hair while making it dry faster (quick slip) and be more straight (super skinny). Try a different straightner and don't use it too long on one section or over and over on one section. You can damage your hair.
You need to set it on a lower level of heat %26amp; you need to treat your hair with masks inorder to rehydrate it !
My hair also use to burn (like popcorn) lol...its sounds horrible but it did.

Do you know what was the problem?

I burnt it soo much my hair was literally being straightened far too much and broke alot at the ends.

THE SOLUTION - stop straightening it. One day i tried to find other options. Like trying my natural waves or curlers. Its really annoying but its better than your hair being permanatly damaged.

Hope this helps

much love xx
This should not be happening. You might have your hair irons on too high, so turn the heat down. They might be burning up. Use a heat defense spray like ghd.

I think you need to get a new set of hair strsighteners. For the time being, keep them off your hair and start deep conditioning your hair to get it back into shape.
stop straighting it
get a ceramic hair straightner they are a lil more expenisveb ut last twice as long and no burnt smells try to keep it on a medium, otherwise it gets a lil too hot
Basically, your hair might be dirty, this can sometimes cause a nasty odour to linger on your straighteners and your hair...

You could also need to use some heat defence spray before straightening...

Or, perhaps you need some new sleek straighteners..

Xmas is coming up!

Bye hun xx
That's because it IS burnt. Forget the straighteners. Another pointless gadget which does nothing for anyone except wreck their hair.
It could be residue left on the straighteners plates, like hair spray or hair wax. Check it and clean it.

If that's not it, your straightening your hair for too long.
I think you need some new straighteners as they are burning your hair ...hence the smell.(it shouldn't smell!!)
use a nice smelling heat defence spray like tony %26amp; guy or treseme
Take a nice, hot shower. Scrub your hair with shampoo. SCRUB! Get a new straightenr. Soemthing went wrong w/ yours and it could become dangerous.
you can't.......... the smell is your burnt hair. un avoidable but not to do it anymore
stop straightening your hair. It does not make you look any better
