If this fault has developed go to the GHD website as they are probably fake, if you go to the website you can check you're serial number and you will probably get an answer like ';this is a fake and this number has been checked 2,000 times already'; then go to trading standards. This is a very common fault with the fake ones.

Hi my GHD's suddenly broke one day when I had only had them three months so I wrote a letter explaining what had happened , put my GHD's in their box and posted them to the headquarters in England , about three weeks later they sent me a new pair at no extra cost, I think u need the warranty to do this so you could ring up about it ?
