How to curl hair with hair straightners?

I have straight hair, and would really like to use my straightning irons to curl my hair, but the irons are quite wide, and whenever I try, i just get one big kink in my hair!!Does anyone no and easy way to do it?

Tip: slower you pull down the flat iron the more defined it will be. You should use thinner straighteners. And use thermal protection before hand so you dont kill your hair. I recommend Chi or Frizz-ease thermal protection. If you use ionic straighteners it will condition hair instead of killing it. good luck hope this helps
