Hi. Can anyone tell me what i can use which is safe and doesn't harn the plates of hair straighners please? Mine have gone all brown which i assume is burn marks and maybe a build up of products which are on the hair.
Thanks very much Ann.
Ps I tried using just soapy water but it didn't seem to move it.How do I clean hair straightners ceramic plates?
Making sure the plates are cold (!), try a swipe of rubbing alcohol. It takes off all the hair product gunk. I used an alcohol swab from work (hospital), but a barely dampened cotton ball would work, too. Then I ';rinsed'; it with a slightly damp (water) cotton ball to make sure there wasn't any residue. Make sure everything is good and dry before firing it up again! How do I clean hair straightners ceramic plates?
You cant remove them there stained there for however long you have it.
rubbing alcohol is best i think it gets rid of it so fast and its very easy just dampen a cotton ball and clean the plates then lightly wet another cotton ball to clean the alcohol off and then wipe it again to get whats left of the water off just like what was stated before...hope it helps!
i just use an old cloth, seems to work ok for me.
try using wet ones.. or some oil.... because it works when i clean mine...
mine has developed the same problem.
if i knew how to clean it off, i'd tell you.
sorry ';/
