im not sure what to do.... my head is sore... any advice pleaseHairdresser burnt my sculp with hair straightners?
Go to your nurse or GP for an examination as soon as possible, and contact a solicitor if you want to sue. Or contact the hairdresser and complain maybe you can come to a peaceful solution without involving solicitors...Hairdresser burnt my sculp with hair straightners?
you should have punched the b***h! ive done this loads of times it will smart for a couple of days but will soon heal
You should go to the chemist to see what lotion you can put on it to soothe the pain, the pharmacist should be able to advise you.
And for your next visit to the hairdresser, go to another salon as your current one sounds dodgy to me.
I have been a hair stylist for ten years and th ewhole suing thing may not be worth the expense for what you get. Please don't get immediately sue happy (I read the answers that you have gotten from others). It if normal for your scalp to feel tight and perhaps a tiny bit tender after you have a chemical treatment of that caliber done. She should have told you that before hand. If your scalp feels bruised, she may have left the chemical on a bit too long. Please know that you are always allowed to grab the stylist in the salon and tell/ him/her about ANY discomfort that you are experiencing while sitting witht he chemical on the hair and scalp. We don't know if you do not tell us. If there is soreness and there are lesions on the scalp, go to a doctor and ask what you can do. If it is terribly bad, take pictures and go to that salon. Speak to the owner (it is never safe or recommended to speak directly to the stylist if you can avoid it) keep you reciepts of the service and tell the owner what happened. Depending on her response, take it from there. The scalp thing usually goes away in a day or two. Wether or not the chemical was left on too long (which is doubtful considering how strong it is and how strict laws are, youmay even be a little sensitive to them. Good luck, I hope it works out for you to now have to go through a bunch of hassle.
Sue them!!!
Go for treatment and sue for damages after healing.
did you complain first when it happened, if not theres not much you can do. no witnesses no liability. they could say you did it yourself. straightning irons dont have a raised trade mark on the hot part so no identifiable proof it was their staff who did it
it should of been you face that got burned
Frozen peas
Go get some aloe gel from walmart and put it on the bad parts of your scalp..And you can soak your head in some cool water that will sooth it also good luck...
Complain to them If in UK....you may get a free cut or colour.
If USA....sue them!
If your scalp is not too bad then go to the store and buy a large container of Aloe Vera gel. Saturate your hair with it and gently rub it into your scalp. Wrap you hair up in a towel and let it sit for about an hour. Rinse out and use baby shampoo on your hair. Repeat each evening until scalp is healed.
If your scalp is severely burned then go to a doctor and get the burns documented.
She did? um... maybee i shouldn't do this Colette! No WAIT!
OOOOOOOOOWWWWWW! IT BURNS IT BURNS! NO TIP NO WAY! NO TIP FOR YOU!!!
Ow. Why didn't you post this question earlier!!! Um... can't answer that question... could use some ideas myself! Owy!
Um... Colette? Is is spossed to fall out like that? Colette? What do you mean it happens all the time!?!?!?!?
Sue Them... www.injurylawyers4u.co.uk always works for me
I would go back and talk to them about it....You may have a free year of hair dressing service....make sure to take pictures or put it on tape...If they don't do something about it that. Take the next step.
Your poor poor sculp!!
take some pictures of the burn and if its really bad, go to doctor as extra back-up then sue to arses off the hairdressers!
Sue them, she must have been a careless stylist to burn your scalp
No do not sue. The chemicals used for straightening are very harsh. I've had blisteres from bleaching before, but they heal. If you brushed your hair that day, or scrubbed it when washing could have made you more sensitive. Seriously, all this sue stuff makes me not want to be a hairstylist anymore.
Sue her as*.
Rinse with cool water for several minutes. Then add a mild conditioner. Apply aloe lotion, or split a couple of aloe leaves and rub it (gently!) on the burn.
on no! sue and complain and compensation for distress and damage done and so no1 else has to suffer in the hands of ur hairdresser. she might get sacked but the company has to finkk of customer servicre 1st coz we pay em so good service is necessary!
What kind of advice is Baby Angell giving? She goes back there, they will roast her alive. Sue them.
Get seen by a doctor to verify this and sue her you could make some money and put a poor woman out of a job!
Sorry to hear that! I would take pictures of the damage e.g. red marks, cuts etc and bring them back to the hairdresser. I would ask for a full refund of my money plus any costs associated with the injury for example doctor visit, soothing shampoo etc. They may not pay for the cost but should give you a refund because yuo went in for presumably just a blow dry or cut and due to the fault of their hairdresser you suffered injury, therefore they owe you some form of compensation.
I've done this to myself before - on the back of my head. You just have to wait it out - like if you burnt your hand on the oven or something. Just dont do what I did and pick at it - takes ages to heal otherwise :-)
They done the same to me ! its so sore ! speak to a lawer thats what i did and i got 拢2000 !! Go to your doctors and they will give you a shampoo to use ! take a photo for lawer !!! Evidence !!
Leave it, you can't really do much. It hurts and will probably go slightly crusty. Could always put a cold compress on it.
