What happens is that the cuticle (the protective layer around each strand of hair) reacts to the heat and gets chipped away at. There's absolutely no product that can ';repair'; this layer, and hair can't ';repair'; itself, either, because it's dead tissue! However, silicone serums can (temporarily) make the damaged cuticle lie flat and look undamaged. Obviously, the ends of your hair are more prone to damage, and they get cut off whenever you get a trim, so that takes care of that.
On the other hand, brushing your hair or even putting cloth covered rubber bands in your hair damages it, but people like me can't go without these things! It's just a matter of keeping the damage low, since you can't completely prevent it. Styling with heat every day may wear down your hair after a while, so keep it to a minimum and you should be fine.Do hair straightners, curling irons and blow dryers.damage your hair and how?
its like frying a steak turn once or twice its ready keep doing it it will burn thats like your hair, it takes all the moisture out of your hair %26amp; fries it, tongs, irons etc are really only suppose to use it once or twice a week max, but we all get that addicted to the straightness etc, that we cant do without %26amp; dont remember what we ever done without it. Damn you you inventors lolDo hair straightners, curling irons and blow dryers.damage your hair and how?
