Can anyone tell me if the GHS hair straightners are as good as the GHD's?

I have GHS hair straighteners and my friend has GHD hair straighteners and i find GHD's better for really curly hair and GHS's better on wavy hair.Can anyone tell me if the GHS hair straightners are as good as the GHD's?
GHS = GHD wannabe. simple as tht.
