Are you allowed to take hair straightners through in hand luggage??

I am flying from Malaga to Madrid in Spain tomorrow and I'm wondering if i am allowed to take hair straightners through in my hand luggage. Does anybody know the answer to this? Are you allowed to take hair straightners through in hand luggage??
I've traveled through the US airports with a flat iron this year. I've been through at least a dozen airports with one in my carry-on.Are you allowed to take hair straightners through in hand luggage??
Probably not. Call your airport your leaving from andd ask them.
I will assume you are referring to the appliance (not the styling aid e.g. liquid, cream etc). I've seen it go both ways, I could not board a plane with one, but i've know others to do it. At security I was redirected back to where I checked in to have the appliance put into my suitcase, then had to go through the security again. When I went back to check in counter I had about 50 people in front of me with a 15min window to catch the plane. If you have to question something/anything....put it in your suitcase.
They will allow it, just not in carry-on I think.....I took my straightener to Pittsburgh, but it was in my luggage that went under the plane....So I would say, to cause you less grief and time, just pack it away in the non-carry-on tomorrow...
Yes, that'll be fine. Have a good trip!
