We used to use hairdryers in order to straighten our hair, it took a lot more skill, precision and effort. Either that or it cost a small fortune to have a hairdresser do it instead! Can any1 remember what we did b4 hair straightners????
I might have had to have commited hare kare (sp?) if I didn't have hair straighteners back in the day!Can any1 remember what we did b4 hair straightners????
well i used a brush and hair dryer to try and pull it straight but my mom used to have her hair ironed by my granny using an iron that you would use on your clothes
i used to use brown paper and the iron (honest)
Yeah!!! I remember the BIG HAIR 80s and 90s!!! lol Bubble perms took over the world!!!
i used to work in a hairdressers and they used to put perm lotion mixed with flour and scrape it down your hair and rest your hair on big flat plastic sheets...weird but it did make your hair straight.
the hot brush!!! oh and we used to think frizz was acceptable and the best shampoos out there were wash and go and head and shoulders.
How times moved on i cant live without my straightners, serum and herbal essences!!
Moaned about having curly hair all the damn time
irons and paper bags!!!!
They used iron bars.
hello i used to get my mate over get a small hand towel put it over a piece of my hair an iron it worked a treat i wouldn't recommend it now
People just blow dryed their hair. Before that i don't know because i didn't bother with my hair lol.
I can remember my eldest sister going to bed with her hair sellotaped flat to her head to straighten it! lol:-))
Me %26amp; my friend often have this conversation, normally involves alcohol but it just seems that our hair wasnt as frizzy n outta control b4 we started usin straighteners. We just used 2 blow dry our hair straight n it sumhow looked alright. God knows how I wud survive wivout straighteners now lol
hours of blow drying
wasn't around so no lol
in the old days i think every1 wanted curly hair
my mother told me that they leaned over the ironing board and put a towel over their hair and straightened it that way.
