Scene hair styling tips?

I have the ';scene hair'; look, its really big at the top, and i have layers,





but i do my hair differently, then most people with hair like mine probably do, instead of teasing, i take a shower,put in some moose, pin up the layers while my hairs wet, let my hair dry, straighten everything, and then I'm all done.





I don't use hairspray or tease it, and i don't want to start, but what else an i do to increase the volume, and avoid having a rats nest on my head? ;]Scene hair styling tips?
Volumizing shampoo, then pin it in place, then hang upside down until it dries.
