Hair styling tips for a guy?

http://mensfashion.about.com/od/goominghair/ss/PEfall05hairmed_8.htm

I am blonde. Hair just goes to top of eyes %26amp; Just tucks behind ears. I have a double-crown.

Please tell me how to get this style?

What sort of cut do i ask for (';short on the sides, long on top'; etc).

How do i style it? blow dry? towel dry? gel? wax? spray?

Also, will it suit an oval faced younger man (me)?Hair styling tips for a guy?
Almost any style will suit an oval faced young man:

';Oval: The oval face is the ideal shape. It is designated as the ';egg'; shape. It is wider at the forehead and tapers to a well rounded chin. This type of face looks equally becoming with hair worn low or high on the head; and likewise, either a center or side part or no part at all is becoming. depending somewhat on other facial characteristics.';

L.S. Trusty, ';The Art and Science of Barbering'; 8th ed, pg 129.

To style it:

1)Blow dry or towel/air dry, till almost dry. A heat diffuser placed on a dryer works well to keep the wave in the hair. I am assuming you also have wavy hair as in the photo.

2)Comb/brush into place.

3)Let air dry fully.

4)Rough up hair with a towel or hand.

5)Comb/brush/push/scrunch into place, attempting to direct the waves as desired.

6)A few very quick pump spray half spritzes of a mega hold hair spray on the top hair up near the face. (Pump spray not aerosol. Aerosol is too hard to control if only a very light spray is desired.)

Print the photo and take to the hairdresser to help describe the desired style. Definitely do not use words alone. ';Short on the sides and long on top,'; could be interpreted as having the sides clipper cut very short, especially by a barber. I recommend going to a stylist who cuts men's hair or a barber/stylist, who you know has done a good job on guys with similar styles.

Good Luck!
