Ok so I got my ear pierced way up at the top of the ear and it caused me to get a HUGE lump of scar tissue. It grosses people out and it bothers me too....I dont wear my hair up in public since its so huge but I need a hair cut. My aunt cuts hair but lives 3 hours away so I wont see her for awhile. Is it okay for me to see a hair dresser? I dont want to have her get grossed out and stuff I dont want to make her job harder. And if I do go do I tell her about it? Or just let her see it and freak out?! I am going to tip well even if its a bad hair cut just for dealing with this. Please help any advice?Hair cut etiquette Hair Stylers Please Help!!?
Hairdressers are like people in the medical profession....they have seen and heard everything, so don't worry. You can mention the scar tissue in a casual way when you tell her how you want your hair cut and she will be prepared before she sees it.Hair cut etiquette Hair Stylers Please Help!!?
You are not going to gross anyone out, it will be a topic to talk about if anything you know how awkard it can be sitting with a stranger for an hour or so. I also think you should visit your gp i'm sure it would only be a minor procedure to sort it out.
