I was wondering where the best place to get them from is price wise.
Also does the colour of the plates make a differnce to how they workGhd hair straightners?
Hi,
The best place to get them is at http://www.beautysleuth.co.uk/ .
They have pretty much the best prices and have free fast delivery. I think they start at 拢95 for the IV styler and come with heat mats and other things too.
The different colours just signify a different model. The more you pay the better the quality obviously!
Beware of anything that costs less than this, as there are a lot of fake ghds being produced and these are extremely poor quality and quite dangerous too!
Try this site as they are authorised stockists!
Hope this helps : )
Ciao
P xGhd hair straightners?
You can get them from your local salon (obviously) but i got mine off the internet and they were 拢99.99 and that came with a free thermal protector.
Sorry i can't remember the website.
But if you google ';compare ghd's'; you'll get the cheapest deals there.
But make sure you check it's a ghd approved website.
Hope i've helped (:
PLEASE don't buy your GHD off of ebay or any other discounted site, so many of them are counterfeit. Go to www.ghdhair.com to find an approved salon that sells them in your area. The first one I purchased was from ebay and it turned out to be fake. Thankfully I got my money back and purchased an authentic one from Sephora. It was $255. Anything way cheaper than that is likely to be counterfeit so beware!
A good way to tell if it is real is by looking at the plug. All real GHDs have grounded plugs with the test/reset buttons. My fake ebay one had a plain, non-grounded plug. If you have any doubts or other questions, their customer service line is very helpful. If you are in the States the number is (877) GHD-ANGEL. Otherwise, you can find the number on their website.
The color shouldn't have anything to do with how well they work...it's the model. I have the MK4 (also known as the IV) and it is awesome. Mine is hot pink but it also comes in black w/ gold plates, pure white, solid black, and now purple.
well ive had a pair for nearly two years and i think they are amazing! and now i can curl with them so that means they have toe uses they heat up in 20 seconds and they do what they say its suposed to do the truth is i can think ebay is the cheapest place or if you know a hairdresser?? the truth is i think they are worth every penny :)
mine were off ebay..
great (: nothing wrong with them at all..
2 years later they still work as well as they did when i first got them
I use one and disagree that they burn your hair. They are more expensive - but you're finished product looks a lot better than with a cheaper iron.
I also disagree that a hair stylist will necessarily ';rip you off.'; If you have a stylist you use and trust - ask them. Of course you can buy them online, but I'm not big on buying expensive items from Ebay.
Oh, and the color plates don't make a difference to my knowledge.
Colour of the plates dont make any difference in the performance, just prices will differ. Special colour will cost a bit higher.
Check this link to know all about GHD: http://beautify-flr.blogspot.com/2008/11/a>
dont get them they burn your hair so bad and also their are many cheaper straighters that do the same job , straighten as good, have a temperature you can change
I don't know, it's the only one that works on my hair and my hair is only wavy. I had an $80 one from target and I had to straighten one small piece of hair for about 30 minutes to get it straight. My fiance got me the wide-plate black GHD and it straightens the same piece in about 3 seconds. Also heats up in about 10 seconds and beeps when it's ready, whereas my old one took 15 min to heat up properly. Anyway they're really expensive, maybe ebay. Don't buy from a hairdresser, they'll rip you off. Just search online for cheap deals, even if you don't do online shopping, search all different shops catalogues online and then go to the store that has it the cheapest
