A question about hair straightners?

i heard about the new hair straightner called ';bead head';. If you have it, is it a good hair straightner? How much did it cost? My limit is $100 I wanna get one that gives the best results and straight, silky smooth hair. So can you tell me is bead head is a good brand or if you have some other brands that work can you tell me and where you got it? By the way i live in Canada so no american stores please. Try a CHI. You can find them some places for $100 or less...you just have to look for them. They're GOOD.

I have a Sedu, and its great because although other straighteners straightened my hair, it would be frizzy and would start to get wavy again after a few hours.

Based on the sites I looked at before I bought my straightener, CHIs seem to break more easily. I have never owned one so I am not sure. They are good straighteners though, if you take care of them.

straighteners from Target or Walmart should work fine, they might leave hair a little less silky than more expensive ones. but if you do go for a cheaper one, go for one that is ceramic.
Chi hair straighteners are really good (i've had one ...but they don't last forever and there expensive) so when mine ';went'; I bought on from target its a remmington and it does work really well I have very think hair and it straightens it perfectly...so ya my point is you could just go to target to get one instead of buying an expensive one.

The only 'products that leave it straight for 3 months' if having it relaxed. Which you get done at a salon and is fairly expensive.








And just ask your mom if you can get your hair relaxed.
Relaxers are not expensive but they do damage your hair. If you sont get the relaxer redone every couple of months your hair will start you break and fall out.
thermal straightening lasts about 6 months i think, and is very expensive and damaging. there is no product, its done at a salon

Yes,they work marvously,I HAD one but someone wanted it so I gave it to them,anyways they are like a CHI at Target they CAN go as low as $70.They are really good because they are ceramic and they work on thick hair too!They come in assorted colours and they are just as good as a CHI.

I am going to a wedding in Mexico in June and usually straighten my hair- will my GHD straightners work out there?Using Hair Straightners in Mexico...?
The electrical current/outlets in Mexico are the same as here in the USA, so you won't need a plug adaptor or voltage converter to plug it in and use it (unless your iron is 3 prong, which is odd), if that was the question. But, as someone who uses a straightening iron herself, I would bring some frizz-eaze syrum, good trusted hairspray, straightning foam, or setting lotion also to keep is straight - the humidity can be vicious down there, but you can totally pull it off - just a little more work! One of the popular straighteners today is the CHI which can be pretty pricey, The original reaches about 100 dollars. I got mine off overstock 20 dollars off, and I love it. It makes my hair very silky and straight.



Though if you're on a tight budget.. I previously owned a Remington Wet-2-Straight and it worked perfectly fine for me, and lasted a few years. It's adjustable settings are good. It last a while on your hair when you use high settings depending on your hair type. (Also I never used it when my hair's wet, It's damaging.. and it works fine without wetness)



I also suggest a heat protector spray, and leave-in conditioner. Especially if you use it a lot.


it really depends on how frizzy/curly your hair is.

if its wavy/straight you don't need one that heats up too high.

if its frizzy/curly/hard to manage,

you need one that heats up more.

and don't get a wet to dry one!

those are bad for your hair,

especially if you straighten your hair when its wet.

don't straighten your hair everyday!

it need a break sometimes!

Definitely get the Chi. I absolutely LOVE mine. But after I wash my hair I usually put a little glob of Bed Head control freak in it so it doesn't frizz up after straightening it. Also put it in after you straighten it to smooth out any flyaways. The Bedhead goes for about 17 bucks and it worked miracles on my curly, frizzy hair. It's pin straight when i straighten it now and it stays like that all day long. Hope this helped (:
My hair does the same thing. I have yet to find a straightener that can tame my beastly hair, but my friend suggested an ion straightener. She also the expensive ones such as Chi aren't even that good. Wet-to-Dry straightners tend to make my hair curl outward, which looks bad. Hope this helps!

I have the chi and I love it...but it's not really the straightener that will keep your hair from doing it..it's the product you put in it! Try some frizz ease shampoo, conditioner, and styler.

The BEST flat iron is called the Maxie Glide. You can buy it in Bed,Bath %26amp; Beyond as well as online or most stores like CVS/Wallgreens. I have tried every other flat iron out there and this one is the best. I have very curly hair and one stroke of the flat iron on a piece of my hair and it is pin straight!!! Just google MAXIE GLIDE!!! Its the best....you wont be sorry!!! All of the Revlon ones and all of those kinds do not even compare to this one!!
Ok, Well I kept buying straightners at really nice stores.. but they ended up working like crap.


So I went to wal-mart.. and bought one. It is called ';wet to straight'; ... If you get out the shower you can use it while your hair is still damp. But I chose not to. But it's the best straightner I have had.. and I have had it for almost a year now :] Oh, and it's only 24 dollars :]
i have both GHDs and these ceramic nikki clark straightners. The GHDs are of course really good but over priced. I prefer the nikki Clark ones because they straighten just as good as GHDs and it keeps the volume in your hair at the same time. They are around 拢20-拢30.
Ive got a chi straightener and it works fabulously. of course, it is a little pricey. around 120. I say its worth the money though when you look at it in terms of how many trims you wont need because it doesnt damage hair that much.

Before I had GHD'S I always used Remington ones. There are ones that are teflon coated and they are quite good. They are about 拢30 from boots. Good Hair Straightners?
Vidal Sassoon do some good ones for reasonable prices - I have really thick wavy hair and a lot of straighteners don't work in it but they do. Mine cost about 拢20 from Argos. Remember to use a straightening spray first - I like the Schwarzkopf one - it makes my hair so much straighter.

Yeah straighten it! Or try some different styles maybe curl all your hair, it cont take as long with short hair and it looks fab!

Good hair straightners?

Okay, so i have curly hair and the hair Straightener I makes my hair like stiff and unmovable and for some reason, my face feels like really greasy at the end of the day when i straighten it. So basically what I asking if anyone knows any affordable hair Straighteners that makes you hair movable, where you can run your fingers thought it, doesn't damage it, and makes it look healthy.


by the way the hair Straightener im using now is a revlon ceramic that i got for like 30 dollars.

GHDS are amazing and will give you great results everytime, however they are pricey!





Babyliss are also extremely good, nicky clarke will also give you a great look.





I would recomend Nicky Clarke and GHDs, never failed me, and i have VERY curly hair.

AMIKA i looove loooooooooooove my amika! i bought it at the store and at the store they let me try it out! they tried straightens and flips and curls with it and itS AMAAAAAAAAAAZING! Please get it regular use actually makes ur hair HEALTHIER! But use a heat protectant...anyways it comes in awesome colours and also it works so good and heats up so ddaaaaaammmn fast. Sure its a little expensive...$200.....BUT BUT BUT b4 u start to worry....i got it for a deal. i bargained the guy to down to like 80 bucks. its relly good and if u dont trust my word go look at the website and all the videos and things.

you can get a set of straighteners that are identical to ghd's, but have a different name on them. I think they cost about 拢50. if you ask in some of the small electrical repair shops they will probably be able to tell you the name of them but I can't remember it. hope this helps.

in the states its about 40 dollars i have no clue how much it is there. but it works great, you can straighten it when it is wet and it won't fry your hair, because that is what it is made for.lol


and i have super curly hair and it just straightens it like so fast.
Wet 2 Straight is a very good one for about 20 american dollars. and it wont damage your hair.


Another good one is Zoe ceramic 1';. I have both.





p.s. Zoe is a proffesional (did i spell that right???) straightener and is also $20.

the wet2straight is very good. I got it for about 35 dollars at walmart.
